How good is my ship and how could I improve it?

Edit: I’m trying to make the ship maxed out to be super effective in the dark sea

I always thought that sail pattern looked like a ballerina.
See the skirt? The head? The pose?

oh my god

True true

Is it ass :sob:

I haven’t touched the game let alone the dark sea since the last update

Good ship build.

oh no i meant to reply to stocksounds comment mb
your ship is cool (i use warship silver but im thinking of maybe using archaic)

Use enchantments

Even t1s make a huge difference

Which ones? Should’ve put this in the post but I want this ship to be perfect for dark sea runs

water your deckhands

Charged iron culverins are the best in slot rn for their range and damage, dragonfire is viable but endgame ship battles ofter swings in the AI’s favour a lot. You have to win all the fights, yet the AI only need one

Siege weapons are optional, anything aside from explosive enchant or coehorns

For rams it’s hammerhead for speed or Iron cleaving thingy maduhicky/light ram if the you despise the recoil damage.

I’d say replace the hull’s enchant with brisk instead, at one point you’re so fast(saw the warship sail there) the ship combat gets really wacky unless you have high Turning, AI’s siege cannons fire with predicting your movement in mind so Turning is the best for evading. 100 Stability isn’t necessary unless you’re planning on exploring the Far Reaches.

Dw about ship hp just don’t get hit, you can put armoured enchant on rams for a tad bit more HP.

Invest in 33k durability

The “the waves can’t hurt you if you are fast enough to not get hit” argument completely falls apart as soon as you stop at an island to get the sealed chests
(which you will be doing unless you are there for sightseeing)
The “the waves can’t hurt you if they do at maximum 0.1% of your health” argument will work in this situation however.

33k durability or 12k you still end up needing to do the same amount of repairs.
It just so happens that the 12k’s alot faster so you end up avoiding most of the damage and getting where you need to go faster.
Having more hp against waves and weather is completely pointless unless you’re not actively repairing your ship like an idiot that sinks to wave damage.

Yeah but every source of repairs that is free is also percentage based.
Unless you are going to the further out areas, you can sustain yourself for as long as you want since you heal faster than you take damage.
I don’t actually know if that’s the case for low health but fast ships, but considering how long you can spend on islands it seems less likely

weather events also stop actively targetting your ship when you, yourself, aren’t on the ship.
If you spend like 30 minutes on an island you might be down a couple thousand hp but that’s all.

Just make sure you don’t leave your ship alone when you’re being hunted by an atlantean brig, doesn’t work particularly well.
(another reason to use high speed, I love despawning atlantean ships by chainshot mortaring them and then sailing away at lightspeed)

You might be surprised to know since I don’t imagine you will have used a slow ship, but chainshot mortars allow even me to be able to outrun atlantean ships in the far reaches. I can’t despawn them like you can, but I don’t really go to the far reaches for loot anyway, so I don’t need them gone.

Get 100% stability

Oh yeah what artifacts of whatever you call it should they use?

I just go full fishhook in case they fish some hooks.

I personally use brisk arhaic armor and warship arhaic sailcloth for speed.
I could maybe get more speed deckhands or something, but idk about leveling them up all over again. Besides I could really switch my enchanter for a merchant. If only notebooks weren’t bugged…

Yes I hate that :sob: imagine having 30 notebooks and u need 10 to upgrade ur deckhand but it says u only have 9 :sob:
