How will the punishment point system for the new rules work?

will they like… save, so you could get a 5 point punishment, and then break a 1 point rule with would get you terminated or are these like… severity of a rule points?

It works similarly to the punishment system in the Discord server, except the points you get for each rule break depend on its severity rather than just being the same for every rule.

I should also add that 1 point will automatically clear after 3 months.

oh alright alright I seee,

so the points save. pain. Will the points move over from the current punishments or will they start from 0 for everyone no matter how many times you were punished before, or if you are currently punished?

not gonna lie though, this rule revamp has a crackdown on freedom of speech kind of feel

Punishments will be reset

As long as you aren’t insulting people (etc. calling them a retard), using excessively vulgar/derogatory language, or repeatedly making low effort posts, you will be fine.

And yea, all previous punishments will be reset and follow the new system. Everyone will start at 0.

das cool. very cool.

but I ain’t talking about insults here (mostly), It’s more or less rules like these:

what does intentionally cause drama even mean, what is classified as drama, and to what extent is it allowed to take place? is all aruging just going to be a sin like in the discord server?

So all jokes based on these topics are just straight out the window? even if they can’t be offensive unless someone is a straight up SJW? What if someone doesn’t mean anything and is just trying to brighten up the atmosphere with something very inoffensive?
to what point is this allowed to take place?

So people aren’t even gonna be allowed to have random chill talks about stuff in the off topic section? like who cares if they ain’t getting punished, if the posts will still be deleted what’s the point of having a discussion

and how does this rule even work, people have tagged vetex on the forum plenty of times, no one has ever been punished for it as far as I know, why is this rule even here if it doesn’t even notify him when minimized or closed at all unlike discord? it doesn’t even have a sound effect.

I know I exaggerated some things here and there but still, there’s no clarification or even a basic example in the rules that shows what for allowed and what isn’t, it’s stupid,

are you all expecting people to immediately understand what’s allowed and what isn’t when you tell them for example that ‘‘controversial talk is against the rules’’, do you really think everyone thinks the exact same thing about controversial topics? There are people who see almost everything as controversial, and people who see nothing as controversial, there should at least be some clarifications in the rules, for every single possible amount of punishment-points given.

not to mention them being different from the discord server cause that place turned into a literal fucking hell on earth because of the rules

I don’t want this place to turn into that shit

also the wall of text rule is just straight up stupid, someone could put a lot of work into a post but forget to format it and it would just get poofed out of existence because funny rule break get noob you’re noob.

Civil arguments are allowed as long as it doesn’t become fallacious or pointless. Drama would basically be meaningless arguments here or threads to shame people, and posts that are deemed to spark such drama would be counted as intentionally causing drama. For example, if I made a post saying “I HATE [insert random person/something here]” with no real point than to cause fights or carry on a discussion that already got out of hand from a closed thread, it would count as intentional drama.

Mainly because this is a Roblox forum. Not everyone in this forum (the age group) would be capable of making a meaningful, civil discussion on topics. Just look at the YouTube comment sections on political-esque videos. Even if it is just satire, the comment section is a complete dumpster fire.

As long as a joke isn’t clearly downgrading a group of people, it should be okay. But overall, they should be something to avoid since jokes regarding those categories could easily be taken the wrong way.

There would most likely be no punishment for this aside from a feedback warning, but it depends on the context and what Vetex does about it if he ends up seeing it. For example, if someone said something like @Vetex fix your game or some other comment that could be taken as negative then he probably would not be very happy about it.

Namely politics and religion are the forbidden “controversial topics.” You are free to tell me what other things you consider controversial. The rules are always subject to change if something comes up that needs to be addressed.

The post would not get deleted. A leader/moderator would reformat it or privately help the user out with formatting their posts through feedback.

I wouldn’t say that. It was mainly because of all the new people that came when the game released. The forums are not as publicized as the Discord is, and many people have a Discord account already, so this is how it ends up. More of the semi-dedicated users go and make an account here. At least that’s what I think.

Thank you for your feedback.
