Dark Sea is most definitely a product of Acheron.
Also, Chaos causing the Dark Sea Also wouldn’t make sense. Originally, an object made out of a Curse would last forever because Chaos (the source of Magic) is an ever-expanding omnipresent infinite source of power, and a Curse is Magic in its purest form, so the object probably drives its power directly from Chaos to sustain itself. But in your case, a Curse does not create permanent objects, so neither should Chaos unless it constantly keeps interfering.
This still wouldn’t do anything to make it so Keraxe has the same dominance in the Sea as it normally does, which is due to its massive fleet. Building wooden bridges from ship to land would improve land invasions, but has nothing to do with dominating the sea; And nobody’s even invading Jotunheim, so they have no reason to go on defensive.
Create some Fenrirs temporarily while actively being there… and why would he even do that in this case, it just seems like a massive hindrance — Wotan will have to continuously concentrate on the Fenrirs, while fighting! And if he loses focus, the ships will just drown, dooming whoever was on it.
And again even if he does, it will still keep the problem of Keraxe not having a permanent massive fleet for someone being allegedly the “strongest naval force of any kingdom”.
While that would work, it still wouldn’t explain the massive size of the ships, and the overall fleet.
I usually type in mobile, so you’d get that symbol by holding the hyphen symbol, and then it will show you two more longer hyphen symbols, after which you select the largest one.
.
remove devourers since they kind of create a massive problem where assuming they’re obtainable and can be reproduced, the question
“why don’t they just make devourer shotguns” comes up.
Because each piece of the Devourer shells would have to be big enough to absorb enough Magic from the Curse to hold it in place. For all we know, it’s minimum the size of a sword, so good luck trying fit that into a shotgun.
Instead make it so curse users are very much able to die to other magic users and curse users if they get hit enough times
They infact can, the Devourer is only to capture a Curse, the Curse user can be killed by almost anyone.
This also upscales my goat General Argos because it means he and his order goons genuinely beat Beringer into the ground with raw skill instead of bushcamping him and stabbing him with a devourer.
Or maybe it just means that Argos DID defeat Beringer in one-on-one combat, because nothing suggests that he sneaked up on him.
Gonna add even more onto this, and prob more later
Passive magic/trace magic energy
trace magic energy is now basically just the same as the raw magic energy that has not yet been cast from your body, and through the use of magic circles you are capable of refining magic to posses certain attributes and even cast it into placed positions, while raw magic is simply what exists within every individual to increase the toughness of ones body or physical capabilities.[1]
Though by overusing your energy, exhausting yourself would also effectively reduce your durability closer to that of a base human from the now lack of energy ↩︎
You know right, you can quote the entire thing instead of posting it as an image?
I think they’d still win against the literal cloud curse user. People have evolved not to have cloud magic which says a lot.

Newsflash, this is a thread for changing things in canon.
Chaos is one of the two great forces that created the universe, so I think it’s plausible that its limitations stretch beyond the inhabitants of said universe.
Also, it could literally just constantly be regenerating the Dark sea, being immensely powerful and all…

“We can beat them in naval warfare!” mfs when Wotan’s army just wrecks their last harbor by foot (also he can just build a bridge to the ship)
And nobody’s even invading Jotunheim, so they have no reason to go on defensive.
Yeah, uh, war doesn’t work like that. You don’t have a designated attacker and defender where defender isn’t allowed to claim any more territory. Your territories still have to be defended.

Gods forbid a country gains power through actual feats instead of leader getting creative mode.
While that would work, it still wouldn’t explain the massive size of the ships, and the overall fleet.
Ships are usually not made from a single tree. They are made out of multiple trees refined into various parts.
Also, someone like a great military commander should generally be capable of keeping fleet losses at a minimum.
In short: stop sticking to the canon like a drunkard to a fence when this is the “change canon” thread.
In short: stop sticking to the canon like a drunkard to a fence when this is the “change canon” thread.
the thread is actually about changing the power system, not the canon in general. You only change the canon when it corresponds with the change to the power system like when you suggested that curses shouldn’t have permanent structures so to fit that canon you made Chaos create the ds instead.
lowkey I would love if they nerf Curses and magic a lot so they don’t feel like facing WMD’s lorewise ifykyk. With that, I genuinely don’t understand why normal people aren’t able to use spirit energy and only legacies can.

Creation made special god energy or smth
Blessings are spirit energy based
every god is capable of making a blessing
So god energy, legacies are god descendant
also technically anyone can use the energy if you have a relic
Newsflash, this is a thread for changing things in canon.
Chaos is one of the two great forces that created the universe, so I think it’s plausible that its limitations stretch beyond the inhabitants of said universe.
No, this is a thread for “fixing” things in canon (the power system, to be more specific), not just mindlessly changing them. When you change something in the lore, it creates implications that affect the lore in its entirety for better or worse. The point of “fixing” it means whatever change you’re making is improving the lore in majority of the things it’s affecting directly or indirectly, better than the original.
e.g. I can’t just say, it would’ve fixed the power system entirely if Cursebeard instead of asking for Curses, asked Prometheus to distribute 20 thosand Relics all over the planet, and the reason being Arthur really liked Excalibur: My reasoning being it would solve the power creep that Curses give, Oracle will have more relevancy, and the power system is way more balanced as everyone can fight everyone. Right? No! Because then the question would be how would the Fracture even happen? How would AO even happen!? How would the setting even come into being!!? And unless I can solve them, my suggestion wouldn’t be called “fixing”, it would just be a glorified what-if.
Another example is saying, “Magic Energy should also increase durability”, which isn’t the same as saying, “Curses don’t create permanent objects anymore” — the former keeps the side effects at minimum while also adding something that improves the power system and doesn’t damage the established lore in any way, while the latter is added to fix something but also affects something entirely unrelated. It would only be a reasonable change if the side effects are also resolved within the newly established lore, or a 3rd thing is added to solve the issues from 2nd change without creating more issues with itself and just continuing the cycle. e.g.:
Chaos is one of the two great forces that created the universe, so I think it’s plausible that its limitations stretch beyond the inhabitants of said universe.
Also, it could literally just constantly be regenerating the Dark sea, being immensely powerful and all…
You added this on top of what you added to solve the issue with the Dark Sea being created by Acheron. But this ends up arising even more problems, most notable one being: Why tf would Chaos even do that? Is it just because of big destruction? Then where was Chaos during The Fall of Mount Olympus? How much destruction is needed for Chaos to get so actively involved, and etc.
You can’t just use Chaos as Disney uses The Force, going, “I DON’T KNOW, Chaos and all…”, to solve any plot-hole.
“We can beat them in naval warfare!” mfs when Wotan’s army just wrecks their last harbor by foot
This may be funny as slander but it’s not logical, try to separate the two. What you said still doesn’t in any way shape or form, improve Keraxe in the Navy, something they are quite literally known for! This would only improve them in invading the land, not the sea!
And it would not even do that infact. Creating a bridge to transport a massive army to land by foot would instead paint an even larger target on their back to the enemy to just start bombarding the bridge with all their resources. Heck, the Curse user on the other side just creates a massive tornado or a ball of fire at the end of each bridge, completely cutting off their route.
(also he can just build a bridge to the ship)
Build a stationary bridge? From one moving ship to another, in the middle of the sea? What???
Yeah, uh, war doesn’t work like that. You don’t have a designated attacker and defender where defender isn’t allowed to claim any more territory. Your territories still have to be defended.
There’s still a massive difference between a Kingdom that’s putting all its resources in tackling an invasion, versus when it’s invading itself. And that is close to how it would work between two medieval kingdoms when it comes to their capitals.
Also this is exactly how it’d work for AO. Akeem can just surround Sameria in tornadoes, making it extremely difficult to invade, but doing so would also cut it off from the outside world, alongside any trade and supplies. Which is why, the only time one would consider doing this is when Sameria has to go on completely defensive.
Gods forbid a country gains power through actual feats instead of leader getting creative mode.
Gods forbid, someone does it without absolutely breaking the lore of that said country.
Ships are usually not made from a single tree. They are made out of multiple trees refined into various parts.
Also, someone like a great military commander should generally be capable of keeping fleet losses at a minimum.
The problem is, every Kingdom will be doing that! Having better quality wood does not solve the issue with the production rate. It has better wood and decent commanders, good. Why would it make them the "strongest naval force of any kingdom"?! They still make ships the same way any other kingdom does, and even if every other kingdom has utter dogshit naval commanders, it still wouldn’t make such a huge difference.
Infact the Keraxe navy would pale in comparison to Thorne Kingdom, that are making Industrial Revolution era ships.
In short: stop sticking to the canon like a drunkard to a fence when this is the “change canon” thread.
The “changed canon” actually has to make overall sense.
With that, I genuinely don’t understand why normal people aren’t able to use spirit energy and only legacies can.
Legacies also cannot use Spirit Energy, they can only cause special mutations which happens due to their Spirit Energy mixing with their Magic Energy.
And anyone can use Spirit Energy as long as they have a Relic.
Mages and Curse Users now have conflicting energies with the opposites of their element, with the reactions being more intense with power.
Morock couldn’t touch anything except drinking water, and Morden’s skin blisters in the light and near plant life.
But this ends up arising even more problems, most notable one being: Why tf would Chaos even do that? Is it just because of big destruction? Then where was Chaos during The Fall of Mount Olympus? How much destruction is needed for Chaos to get so actively involved, and etc.
I have no stakes in the rest of the debate but this bit pertains to actual canon so I’ll take a stab at it (I just want to make it clear that this is only on the topic of the Fracture attracting Chaos to the Earth, not whether Chaos enhanced the destructive effects of the Fracture [even if I lowkey have that headcanon myself])
Yes, it would make complete sense for the Fracture to attract a metric
ton of Chaos to the Earth because of the big destruction and more importantly the near-omnicide that followed. Aside from Akursius Keep’s destruction by Chaos, which likely happened because the big explosion and mass death of Winterveil attracted it there, we have two other notable examples that serve as precedent:
Especially relevant here is the second event, since it’s quite literally a runback of the Fracture but less deadly (only destroyed half of a sea cluster instead of the entire world) and yet it still attracted a lot of Chaos. Whether or not Vetex has this be the case, by the internal logic of the lore we know it would make less sense for Chaos to have not been rushing to the Earth with the destruction and death that the Fracture brought
I can’t speak on the Fall of Olympus cause we have basically zero relevant info on it, for all we know it did attract Chaos but it just hasn’t been revealed ![]()
Legacies also cannot use Spirit Energy, they can only cause special mutations which happens due to their Spirit Energy mixing with their Magic Energy.
Also I don’t know if I’m misunderstanding what you mean but doesn’t the Book of Athena explicitly say that legacies can control their own spirit energy?
and while not confirmed, I’m fairly hopeful that oracles 2nd awakening gives us a tool to use spirit rites similar to mages/fighting styles special tool to have 8 slots of moves (with god souls possibly allowing the use of extra unique moves in accordance to the god the soul belongs too)
You added this on top of what you added to solve the issue with the Dark Sea being created by Acheron. But this ends up arising even more problems, most notable one being: Why tf would Chaos even do that? Is it just because of big destruction? Then where was Chaos during The Fall of Mount Olympus? How do you not mind when Vetex does the same?
This may be funny as slander but it’s not logical, try to separate the two. What you said still doesn’t in any way shape or form, improve Keraxe in the Navy, something they are quite literally known for! This would only improve them in invading the land, not the sea!
Ok dude are you purposefully being dense now or what…
This is like a paraplegic complaining to a doctor who won’t give them an upgraded wheelchair… Because the doctor can just restore their nerves and not make them need one.
Keraxe is, before anything, known as a nation of conquerors.
Also, you’re completely ignoring my other point of having their superior ship material come from elsewhere other than the wood curse.
Except Keraxe has another 4 mad strong curse users who can defend it.
Build a stationary bridge? From one moving ship to another, in the middle of the sea? What???
If he can shit out a ship, you’d think he’d be able to connect two of them. Stop being dumbfounded like a turkey before shit.
Anyways it’s become pretty apparent that you will adamantly refuse any change to the lore on the basis that the current lore is flawless, so I won’t bother with you anymore.
Whole house mad ![]()
