Hybrid vs Pure Class gimmicks

Where are the aura embodiments, the magic tattoos, the arcanium cestus ideas

i dunno what a magic tattoo is but that sounds awesome

it was an idea for wom to explain having access to getting >3 magics even though you still only have 3 minds

even if it had zero function, glowing magical tattoos would be so fire

even better if they DID serve a function and granted some kind of boost

If only vetex considered the suggestions here

Magic tattoos are indeed cool

Honestly I hope builds like warlock can get custom stuff like “arcane styles” in the same vein as paladins getting spirit mutations

None of you understand.

The cycle didn’t end with warlord, because it can’t end with warlord.

Arcanium weapons will come and turn out to be better warrior. Conjurevants will overuse them until they are gutted, leaving conjurers starved.

Relic weapons will come and turn out to be better warrior. Knightvants will overuse them until they are gutted, leaving conjurers starved.

Cestus relics will come and turn out to be better berserker. Juggervants will overuse them until they are gutted, leaving juggernauts starved.

Arcanium cestus will come and turn out to be better berserker. Warlockvants will overuse them until they are gutted, leaving warlocks starved.

Spirit mutations will come and turn out to be better oracle. Saladins will overuse them until they are gutted, leaving paladins starved.

Savants will hide from the balance team behind each hybrid, and balance team will kill each of them until savants have nowhere to run.

Magic based abilities got told “Screw yourself”.

So now they both decided to be the biggest RNG slog in human history. One was given the mercy of being a tool— so Vetex doubled up and made sure they also had to search the dark seas just because Magic Abilities deserve it.

Lore apparently doesn’t like Magic Abilities it seems; that or the price of their strength is the fact you need to pick a diety and pray they help you win RNG.

I do not know if you even read the special type of magic properly or not

Spirit mutation yeah? Did you? The requirements are to be of a special lineage? Now did you read the sentence right after as to why? Because it involves using magic and spirit energy together. An ability unique only to “special legacy.” Characters but then then even if you are from said legacy but don’t know how to use spirit energy you can’t get a spirit awakening cause you’re missing the half of the magic’s requirements

The requirement is not “be proficient with spirit energy” the requirement is “be a legacy of a god”

Allanon doesn’t need any spirit relics to wield Phoenix, you don’t either.

The requirement is cannonically that you just have it in your blood to be used as a supply, having good mastery over it is probably just an additional benefit; I mean, i doubt Allanon has a Relic, and without knowledge of them, he probably wouldn’t practice utilizing Spirit Energy— but yeah, it will probably end up being more viable for Paladins.

People have wanted things like Phoenix magic for a while, theres no way Vetex would completely restrict it to Paladin. Also in said Spirit MUtation list was Death and Slash; so unless we’re going to be dealing with fully usable Relic Imbued Ancient Magics alongside the perk of Ancient Magic Imbue Relics… this is the best outcome

“Darkness Purging… Ultimate Art: Zues’s Lightning Bolt Infused Death Magic Blast!”

The requirements are using both magic and spirit energy as it literally says in the 2nd line of the spirit mutation part. This requirement is only able to met by said legacies. Normal people while they can use relics can’t manipulate their own spirit energy. People of said legacies are able to manipulate their own spirit energy outside of a relic. Like the spirit dodge reflex or imbuing spirit energy into weapons. So yes it does require the user to have some proficiency in using spirit energy

I guess become a paladin since mages can’t use spirit energy

Mages don’t use spirit energy, but the protagonist character in particular can. Much like how they can use magic and simply choose not to do much with it, I think the inherent ability could be all you need.
After all, Allanon doesn’t use relics or spirit imbues, does he now?

ok look, i get that Allanon and other bosses technically aren’t good sources of class require information given how every “Warlord” we’ve faced is just a “Strong Warrior” and has no actual fighting style…

But restricting any magic type that could be useful to the class that already has the most freedom in what its Hybrid does would be a recipie for a Savant-Tier balance disaster.

“They already have Ancient Magics, but we’ve gotta cater to the Paladins who build Spirit— lets give the Ancient Relics too, or just close enough”.

Shhhh, they’re obviously a spirit build trying to cope, let them

I think giving paladins their own elements is a dumb idea, because they already get a greater variety of magical things just for being a spirit build. How would more variety not just give way too many choices?
Not to mention that they also get the choice of regular lost magics.

Also everyone is forgetting saladins exist and will flock to spirit mutations like vultures to a corpse the moment they come out
