doesn’t this mean i solved it cause you were thinking the same thing i did but i said it first?
Maybe.
why would calvus only charge exactly that one attack
So a theory? Like they called it?
Well, what I’m saying is that Calvus doesn’t stop charging other attacks if you hit him in the process because he’d find it impractical. He’d stop the giant explosion ult because it’s a bad idea to keep yourself vulnerable like that.
the triple explosion deals the most damage by far when fully charged so logically it should be the other way around?
he should only charge that one to full
Well, if Aether is weak unless you charge it, it’d be a terrible idea to not charge a blast if you have the chance, but the ult takes a long time to charge, so if you start getting attacked during charging it, I’d want to retaliate by releasing it too.
Calvus shoots pretty quickly actually and aethereal ornament is instant aside from its windup
why would you fully charge the attack that deals a measly 150 damage instead of the massive aoe 1500 damage one?
if this charging gimmick applied to aether magic then he would be charging all his attacks like crazy and each would be dealing damage similar to 500! 500! 500!
so it’s much more likely it’s a property of the triple pillar spell itself rather than aether as a magic
Well, most of AR is unreliable at this point. Wouldn’t put it past him on that one.
the ornament was in AA
Why give your opponent the chance to continue potentially fatal retalitaion when you can still hit them with 500 damage if you do it a little early?
“fatal retaliation” it’s not like calvus has 4.5k hp… right?
also he lets us do this to him with his blasts attacks which do considerably less damage so idk what ur talking about
Well, if the blasts can launch early when he’s hit while charging, it just means it’s more likely that my theory is correct.
are you talking about the triple pillar or the projectile blasts
I don’t even know what you’re talking about anymore, so I’m not sure.
i’m saying the triple pillar charging thing is probably a gimmick of the spell itself rather than aether magic as a whole because we never see calvus do any sort of insane charging with any of his other spells
Yknow vetex has access to aether magic
We can just get a patron to ask him
He does that with a self explosion, and a blast.
