Everyone screws up sometimes. With every mistake there is a penalty. That’s how I learned things in life, and that’s how many other people learn as well. I feel like with things like this they can either go three ways, one of the parties learns how to handle the situation and move on, they both learn and understand eachothers viewpoints and move on, or nothing gets resolved and it eventually turns into chaos in drama, and a ton of feelings hurt. Let’s hope this doesn’t become option 3.
I won’t directly attempt to pick sides but it’s the small things that always snowball and get crazy, the only real way to fix a conflict without hurting anyone is to learn.
This is the only rule in the ToS that regards harassment.
I wouldn’t count calling someone a “retard” a single time counts as “harassment.”
Also, if you are an admin, there are no rules against banning anyone in the ToS.

Very poetic if things played out that way.
This sentiment is very inspiring, but the pattern that Vetex exercises forum privileges is a particular kind of power abuse. If this pattern is not recognized and named by people on this forum the conflict will fester like a sore wound. Mediation only works if the power goes both ways, which is not the case if we are talking about using forum privileges to shut down threads, insult other users, temp ban people who argue back, etc.
This process that Vetex uses is seemingly not accountable, and does not itself adhere to any principle stated in the TOS. One of the reasons to use a TOS also to provide a framework to enforce community guidelines so moderators can…mediate a situation like this. Moreover, users cannot tag or contact Vetex in a way to mediate because the TOS does not allow it. Therefore, the situation calls for the moderators of this forum to make a decision on Vetex’s behavior and actions (and I suppose to reevaluate the actions of people that vetex has temp banned).
It’s a messy situation because IDK how the other mods feel about this use of power. This is why I am attempting to spell everything out in a series of posts. There is nothing else that can be done at the moment.
