I do not like the level cap

I believe it really just comes down to getting used to the game’s combat, I used to think the same thing a good time ago, but now, I’ve gotten used to fighting strong foes, and even with my 10 yo Xbox one that maxes out at 25 fps 210 ping, I can play the game with no issue. I hate to be this type of person, but this is really just a skill issue, I recommend fighting these high level NPCs a lot until you get used to this type of fighting

Doomposting? Look I’m alright with people not agreeing with me, but how am I doomposting?

Also I’m not saying I want to be insanely overpowered. I just don’t want to be constantly obliterated in a fight against npcs. Also, saying this game’s not for me? Believe it or not, I like this game, the story is fun. Just because I like a game doesn’t mean I have to like every aspect about it. Also I need to better explain what I mean by the last part of my post, I want to be on equal grounds as them, so I’ll change that up so my whole post critique isn’t instantly invalidated.

I never said I disliked Vetex, I respect the guy, so why are you tyring to make it seem like part of my post is saying that?

I know this isn’t Bloxfruits. In fact I tried Bloxfruits and I hated it’s boring rng, p2w, bandit beater gameplay. Also I stated I don’t want to outlevel the bossess I just want to fight them on equal terms.

You are on equal terms with the boss you just aren’t familiar to them

though lets be fr not all players can be equally as good as others and sometimes it could take an unnecessary amount of time to actually get good. Though won’t say same for bosses but will say for wandering NPCs since they can be obese

lately i’ve been viewing negative posts like this as doomposting, and it takes time to make these replies so sorry for seeming too harsh or sarcastic.

Ok enemies can 3 tap you sometimes and they sometimes feel unfair but you know what we have? Dodge reflexes, gear builds (doesn’t have to be minmaxxed), and the ability to use different classes best suited for different playstyles. Juggernauts aren’t going to be better at fighting atlanteans than mages, but that’s how most games go. Bosses have an intended level to fight them at, and for calvus, it’s at level 100. It’s cool you like the story, but most aspects of the game, like exploring islands, looting underwater structures, gathering loot, etc. requires combat and arbitrarily increasing the level cap trivializes the game.

My entire reply looked like satire and I thought everyone would’ve picked up on it. But I guess I have to account for the fact that when I talk I have to be considerate over what the other person might think. Me and you DON’T hate vetex and my reply made you look bad, so sorry once again.

let bro chill he probably got shitted on by luck and he was forced to fight a level 300 magma lightning mage npc everytime

or worse: martin (level 117k atlantean)

or worse, dubiouslittletyp0’s 800 damage NPC

wait who is that

dubiouslittletyp0 when I was with him doing NPC bounty hunts and we found this level 200 something or higher NPC, we fought him and with one skill from that NPC he obliterated 800 HP from my health bar

and dubiouslittletyp0 is @DubiousLittleTyp0
or for short sandal

You’re just bad at the game, it’s not a bad thing though, you can get better. I don’t even think its possible to lose to an npc in this game sometimes. The trick to fighting high level npcs in this game is to watch what they are doing, block, parry, and doge (heavy on dodge).

Npc ai has a very good tracking system so if you dodge before the attack is casted they will aim it to where you are headed. if you dodge on instinct when an attack is casted rather than when it is actually launched you either have to use a skill to cancel your dodge midway so you dont dodge into the attack, or hold g and negate some (or most if you parry) of the damage. if you simply hold your dodge until the attack is launched it becomes piss easy to dodge any attack an npc throws. In the exception to this, like npcs that use light and lightning and npcs using guns, you can dodge before the attack is done casting and keep moving, that will dodge all the attacks.

For actually dealing damage and killing the npc, focus on attacks right after you avoid one of theirs. If you have high attack speed and good reaction time coupled with a faster attack, you can launch one before their attack is launched (this is what you do for bosses especially, even without attack speed they have stupid long attack windup (except maria you just gotta lock in for that)). do not try to outclash or stand still and go hit for hit with a level 260 npc, you will lose.

Anyway, it’s a skill issue, most of what i said becomes intuitive the more you fight these npcs. Skill can always improve though, take what i just said and go kill a few max level criminals in sameria. Then tell me how much easier it was.

Would you like to join-

I actually think you’re right. The level cap we’ve seen in the sneak peaks (lvl. 165) seems kinda low when you can find lvl. 300 NPCs. But to be honest, it would make non hybrid builds kind of useless, if it wasn’t for the awakenings.

apparently i probably got a skill issue according to replies lol. bosses are fine and dandy; I can beat calvus easy without needing to be as equally strong as him. high level poster npcs or atlanteans on the other hand cook the shit out of me.

you can either play pilgrammed:
like sekiro, improve and get better
or like armored core, build the perfect machine

Maria is fair, really not a well executed boss.
Calvus is not. Calvus is a boss that is difficult if you expect to charge straight in, do shit and win. If you learn his moveset, when to counter etc., he’s very doable.
And are you deadass struggling with level 160-200 NPCs? Are you a strength build perchance? I feel like the average player should be perfectly capable of defeating strongest Bronze sea NPCs, anything below lvl 200, in fact. My “combat” build is literally just a diving set patched up for fighting and I can still take on NPCs up to level ~210 without issues unless it’s a really fucked build they’re running.

Unless you’re going against a 5k hp guns only npcs, they are all VERY easy
