yeah make it so that it’s going to be hard
not based on rarity or luck or chance so anyone (such as a noob with no skill) can’t get them and have to be good at the game to get
like make them rare-ish (as in rarity of common to legendary if you know what I mean) then make it hard to actually get
TL;DR give alot of opportunities and make them hard to get
and then the forum finds out about the auction house.
Split it into:
50% Pure chance
50% Obtained every x amount of times
yup, a great way to lose players who work for themselves, and also a great way to keep the toxic players around (which will start going after lower levels more and more)
so basically rng with a pity system
still sounds bad for something as rare and game changing like a lost or ancient magic. Maybe for lost spells it would be fine
lost and ancient magics should honestly be worked for (challenging bosses, quests etc) not grinded for in the hopes of getting it (rng)
How will you find them? Will it be a rare spawn each server or a personal chance? Will I have to fight to the death for a SUPER rare magic, then lose and someone else gets it, or can I get it myself, free from others stealing it?
How do you guys manage to even find these posts even after several months have passed

the challenging bosses would need to be rare rng spawns otherwise you’d have 1% of players who are god-like at combat build up large stockpiles of them no problem
ye thats fine. Tbh anything is better than pure rng so hopefully vetex doesnt decide to make them chest drops or fishing items
I would rather have it 30% pure chance and 70% skill required
if not, some random ass lucky noob with no skill will get it
would rather have it 90% story required and 10% skill though
