I tried Grand Piece online again

having 30 more statpoints than everybody else (thats if youve got 701 stamina, you could save even more points by getting more) because you were either really lucky or bought it is p2w. It is a terrible mechanic that promotes gambling to children.

3% more stat points, it’s fucking gambling omg

I don’t think someone is gonna whine about how spending under a dollar can make you 3% better in total stat points

paying to have a chance of recieving a powerful bonus is gambling. It is quite literally built like a slot machine.

Have you actually played the game or are you just trolling at this point? You pay 0.5 dollars for a 5% chance of recieving a pretty major buff compared to non-mink users.

Also, please explain to me how loot boxes count as a form of gambling, which are almost always cosmetic and give little to no advantage in game while rolling races in GPO which gives stat bonuses isnt

its fun tho

gliding is useful if you know how to use it
saint and obama said it was useless until i taught them how to use it properly

3%

It’s not addictive to roll races and there’s less incentive to repeated rolls (You can’t have multiple races)

30 stat points (Which is at 701 stamina, if you had even more stamina you’d save a lot more points)
You keep using this “3%” number as to try to downplay the amount but its literally not working, first of all the number is incorrect and second of all that number varies.

It is addictive to constantly roll again in hopes of getting a new race and it is incentivising you to roll multiple times in case you get a new devil fruit which pairs with a better race or oyu just want to try a new one
edit: it is addicting in the exact same way slot machines are addicting, you are constantly baited with high rolls (whichever race you want rolling past) which gives a feeling of "on the next one ill get it, the last roll was just unlucky)

At level 325 it’s 3% mathematically, also who tf is running 701 stamina?

Not on the same level of seriousness as casino gambling

If you consider small shit like this gambling then literally everybody gambles

701 stamina or above is common in update 3, also that 3% varies based off of how many points you actually use, its ONLY 3% if youve got 701 stamina. If youve got something such as Tori then having well above 701 stamina is almost necessary

I am actually incline to disagree, it is extremely common to hear about people who’ve spent well over thousands of robux just to get a race they wanted, you can literally ask the gpo server. Heres just one example
image
Edit: I personally have spent roughly 1k robux just to end up with Human, it is a serious form of gambling aimed at children and teenagers.
Also please answer my question, are loot boxes, which are purely cosmetic with little to no gameplay impact serious gambling because a vocal majority seems to think it is.

And yes, you are correct, there is a LOT of gambling in gaming and everyday life.

we ain’t gonna talk about how when you look for a df the first thing I PROMISE you will find is suke. If you find anything other than suke first try your built different

i mean it’s gambling tactics
i wouldn’t say everyone gambles but that tactics like these are now used by almost every game. it just speaks of their effectiveness in raking in money.

what you mean by this? like the effects it has on the participants?

I literally see nobody running 701 stam, but I haven’t seen anyone with a Tori so ig

Over 10s of dollars is very different from spending your lifesavings on a gambling addiction

Good job you wasted 10 bucks

You never asked this question dumbass and I think of them as gambling since it’s a large game of chance with desired vs undesired outcomes

Then you’re taking more of the literal definition of the word than connotation meaning we were talking about two seperate things.

yes

You mean the existence of RNG?

Yeah that’s the only thing, but it’s probably one of the best ways to obtain the scorched heart without an actual player helping you

image

The difference here being that this is marketed towards children who are extremely influencable and dont have that much money to begin with and rely on their parents or savings.

This is exactly the same with race reroll, its a large game of chance with desired vs undesired outcomes.
go back to playing adopt me or whatever the fuck you play or actually get some experience and knowledge before starting a whole ass discussion

edit: found more 700 stamina users

and this is from a really small server and almost all of these messages are from different people

I was talking about 701 Stam in stat points, thinking you were looking at an extreme

The first isn’t a yes or no question, the second is a yes or no

Subjective but I don’t consider 4 possibilities a large game of chance

What you are doing right now is the same as your “3%” shenanigans and the same as in this picture that i posted earlier. You are downplaying the situation by oversimplifying it
image
Yes there are 4 possibilities and if all 4 were an equal 25% chance then it would of course not be a big game of chance but when rolling the dice costs half a buck every time and has a 75%, 15%, 5%, 5% chance, it is a pretty big game of chance.

I look at the number of possibilities and desired outcomes and not the rarity of said outcomes when I determine how large a game of chance is

Calling something a “big” game of chance is very subjective
