Reminder that Argos iirc (has) to turn on the aura. So Weapon Aura’s are toggleable.
I mean it’s stated to be based off of willpower, so theoretically you could just stop trying to have a weapon aura and you would.
This means that canonically argos’s aura move is him locking tf in
i wonder if willpower as well as maybe the material, former magic imbuement, or magic density of the weapon also has an effect
I was about to give a argument against this but i could not think of one not because its a good suggestion its because i cannot put into words how this will never work
Man this is like optical’s javelin suggestion all over again
you can be strong without having a fighting style, by this logic everyone at least has basic combat since it’s literally just punching
but this defeats the purpose of savant
but they wont get ancient magics/fighting styles or the multitude of weapon skills that pure builds will
just be a warlord bro…
Great concept, poorly executed
in that case warriors could use colossal great sword now so no. just no (sorry if this sounds mean)
not bad in terms of uniqueness but
wouldn’t this just make early-game strength weapons essentially on the point of warrior-tier weapons?
(because every skill on halberd would be: 160(q), 190(e), and so on)
correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t we supposed to have a maximum level cap of 600 around the end of the game?(by end of the game I mean like sometime around 2140 irl)
it just seems blatantly impossible/redundant for a savant to invest that much into weapons alone
either way the concept isn’t too bad but at that point you’d just remove strength weapons entirely since other weapon classes could use it
all the dexterity in the world won’t help you swing a 20 pound halberd around like it’s made of paper
Even a Warlord can’t pass that 0.7x speed.
exactly, so someone with just dexterity and no strength wouldn’t be anywhere close to being able to effectively wield it
I think we’re a little too worried about lore explanations.
so there’s just no explanation for how warriors are able to wield cement blocks on sticks then
I mean, there is, but you’re worried too much about the threshold between what is and isn’t possible.
what is that explanation?
Getting better at weapons to use heavy stuff takes longer than getting better at weapons and bulking up to use heavy stuff.
I like to imagine that everyone gets physically stronger as they ‘level up’, just not to the same extent as pure martial artists/fighters.
i think stocksounds should shut the hell up and just read these 2 explainations for the weapons and strength stat then combine both
It’s like the difference in strength between someone who casually lifts and someone who is a competitive strongman
