Is cloud magic a fraud magic?

this is because lightbulbs don’t convert all of their electrical energy into light, some of it is converted into heat. if it was the light from the lightbulb making you hurt, you wouldn’t need to touch it to feel it

you simply don’t see the bigger picture

you can turn your body into mist and cover a wide area, then punch and kick your enemy from multiple angles at the same time. You’d also gain omniscience over that area, since the mist is your body and you would feel everything there

when*

Like actually, imagine having a curse, and you aren’t even the strongest tool, its little timmy because your magic does nothing but make other people better.

That or you don’t even get to use it much and you’re feared for another magic you have:

“ABHOLUNG! THE TERROR OF FIRE!”
“doesn’t he have the cloud curse?”
“yeah, but… its spreading which makes him scary… fire is just his strong-suit.”

You have one of the rarest forms of magic in the universe; and its only purpose is to make you play support :sob:.

Like i love playing supportive roles, but like I’d feel like the gods screwed me if this ever happened and i wasn’t deliberately looking to help people for the rest of my life.

Well I guess that’d be why it has weaker base damage than ash, which is just a bunch of hot fog.

you’d spread your power thin and increase your hitbox :yawning_face:

legit ash is better than cloud cus at least ash is hot

if you want to attack you can just increase your power output in the specific spots

and if you spread your hitbox like that, every attack is going to hit “less” of you

‘wimpy ass clouds’ when they are large or anvil shaped;
‘wimpy ass clouds’ when they can deprive their enemies of their moral by removing their sunlight rights;
‘wimpy ass clouds’ when they can flood entire regions or irrigate their own’s crops;
‘wimpy ass clouds’ when they can theoretically make sky islands, paths, ships, et cetera;
‘wimpy ass clouds’ when they can theoretically make tornadoes, hurricanes, cyclones, and typhoons;
‘wimpy ass clouds’ when they are literally just storm magic but with greater potential.

Cloud magic is great, albeit not as great as its curse form due to its inability to be used in the long-term. As for Beringer, he just didn’t have the imagination, science, and perhaps even the time to learn how to be a threat with it.

Photon are a type of radiation. Visible light just happens to be visible, for all we know Light magic could be giving us cancer.

getting stabbed by a knife “hits less of you” yet it hurts more than getting hit by a blunt rock

Ash magic users unleashing their power to do what every other heat magic could already do if they had a pile of wood.

Pompeii.

Ash magic Petrifies people, its smoldering hot particles that stick to everything.

that would be a very small cut in the mist form, and besides, clouds aren’t just gas

anyways, i’ll stop here cause i gotta hop on warframe

Warframe!

as a warframe player, you should know the only use of Clouds is Wukong hiding in his wimpy ass cloud to run, like every other cloud user will!!!

We really need to remember that water is the #1 conductor of magic energy, and clouds are made of entirely floating water, and clouds have displayed an especially cool solidification property when full of magic energy, and cloud magic would probably be huge, and it’s a lost magic so it has lost magic stats.

If I had to guess, it’d fill the niche of Water Magic but in a more effective way. Inflicting Soaked and being large with few downsides. Water Magic is not weak.

yeah idk i’m not convinced
a cloud user has to “turn into a cloud and cover a large area to envelope the battlefield so they can hit them from all different angles” and on and on and on
while a fire user can just… torch them
it just takes so much more effort to be effective with fucking water mist magic than with something like magma or lightning

Not all sea curses were made equally, but all magics were made equally with their tier. Vetex can literally just make it good.

The cloud curse, just like the wood curse, is a UTILITY curse. It can’t be used for much in combat, but has great long-term effects on its allies and enemies (which is great since curse users are immortal!).

it’s about the utility, if you see a cloud in the sky you won’t even think about it, now if you see a blazing inferno up there you are going to be on high alert instantly

no, i hope he gives it the Ink and Paper Treatment but on a magic that actually deserves to be neglected.

0.3 power, 1.9x size, 1.0 speed; thats all you get.

Applies soaked.

Aren’t those getting the treatment of returning as lost magics? I hope it gets that.
