Not to mention that fighting styles lack content, even with the two new fighting styles berserkers still have 56 options as opposed to 380 mage options
vetex’s excuse for lack of fighting styles is that he “lacks ideas” but not an excuse cuz there’s plenty of old fighting styles and a few on the trello like karate iirc and i could probably think of one or two myself idk it just seems like vetex doesn’t not gaf about strength at all and just glazes magic bcuz this is “arcane” odyssey not idk “strength” odyssey or whatever

Tbh I feel like a grab-based fighting style should be judo instead, and maybe its quirk should be just pulling in enemies, since grabs are pretty unreliable

I think it’s a bad idea to make any magic or fighting style deal higher damage on a specific move only, my other idea is applying slowness
i honestly wanna doubt smth like this would happen idk it just seems kinda op and it’s already an effect of 2 customs (arcturus and chrono) so i don’t think this would be smth vetex would do
… Or maybe devs should stop gatekeeping cool effects
Besides, I think a maximum of 10% slowness at max stack is fair

It’s gimmick was making people more vulnerable to grabs but grabs hardly even work
Better than nothing it’s nice to have it as an option like for example no one uses wood magic but it’s nice that it’s there
Bro can come up with 30+ magics yet can’t do the same for fighting styles despite the fact that they can replicate the same effects as magic, albeit at a weaker degree.
Coming up with different elements for magics is way easier than coming up with the gimmicks and functionality for fighting styles

And vetex has always been iffy about adding weapon skills we barely got any since the game came out tho idk how to play as a warrior i only had one warrior file like in 2023 and i forgor idk how to play this game without magic or fighting styles icl

My point was that vetex once said that nature and cloud magics aren’t in the war seas (at least cloud magic) and they wouldn’t be obtainable or smth which is why i’m hoping it’s been retconned or something and cloud magic WILL be an obtainable lost magic
if cloud magic isnt going to be a lost magic then its gonna be an ancient magic, vetex said theres no new bases being added
