As ashamed as I am, I must admit… I use crystal! I always see people saying how bad it is! Now, I have been using crystal for about ~1250 hours now but- What makes it so bad?!
Like… It has good damage, great size and OK speed. For all those who know, is crystal magic truly a bad magic? Why does it seem to have a bad rep? And why are people enamored whenever they ask me why I chose it…

Maybe its carried over from WoM when crystal was just ok but… in terms of the major community i feel.like crystal is.looked down upon and dare i say… under-rated!
I was actually planning to change my Crystal Conjurer to a Crystal Mage to try it out, as the Conjurer life aint working for me. I havent done tho since I moved to a different main file. Well, I’ll def do it once I use it again tho~
But yeah, Crystal is cool! It was my magic since WoM due to how pretty it was. Though, I feel like the AO texture was a downgrade from it ;-;
Wasnt it said Crystal was super good due to the new Crystallised effect?

Damn that’s a shame, crystal conjurer does sound quite good
a lot of the time sand is just a better Crystal, it’s got better synergies and it’s faster with practically the same damage.

nuh uh until it gets some translucency it’s gonna keep looking like wet plastic forever. (considering the fact that I like sands visuals something might be mentally wrong with me)
Crystal Cannon Fist Heavy Grapeshot Warlocks and Crystal Conjurers cause me irrational fear, so I don’t think it’s “that” bad, there are worse magics coughs Metal.
I hate slow magic, even tho i still miss with lighting…
But its good if you can adapt to it.
crystal is a pretty great magic imo
it’s just that the slow speed causes you to not proc the status that often
but it’s great if you invest a bunch into attack speed
also the synergies aren’t the greatest, but it’s pretty good with light magic

30% more damage is a huge increase
but it’s just a bit inconsistent because crystal is a pretty slow magic
Crystal isn’t a “bad” magic in the literal sense like ash or metal, in fact, it’s really powerful, but at the same time I think that power is what causes people to view it in more of a “this magic doesn’t actually take that much skill to use because it’s so good and thus whoever uses it is a cringey gemhead” frame of mind, if you know what I mean.
