Is there any reason NOT to use 20% blast?

You can’t really hit 20% sized blasts consistently as much as you think you can, though if you have a free spell slot you can just use that for a 20% size blast endlag punisher. (even though a javelin would fit that role fine enough)

Or alternatively you can just get up close with your 20% sized blast.

thats what i meant, i have to play rushdown with metal iron leg savant (vit)

you have one 20% blast for punish and one 100% blast as your main attack, easy
although i personally use arrow as my main attack because its literally free speed and not much harder to land

I disagree since I hit most my blasts by predicting falls

youre so right 20% arrow mages rise up

Because for this case people use 20% size double beams and muskets. Don’t risk losing hit or getting blocked\parried because of your blast’s speed. (Unless you are close to them)

i started using 50% blast instead of 20% because its too hard to hit with 20%

Blast size can affect damage?? I thought that it was only explosion size that could increase it… D:

20% arrow as punish is so good

you need to lower blast size to lower explosion size

its an absolute godsend even for hitting outside of endlag because of the damage output

I use sand which is relatively slow compared to some magics so arrow is actually so useful

i run lightning :grimacing:

You blink and you got hit with lightning arrow without even noticing

i agree with that thats how i build my mage, +speed

you wont be able to use 20% blast on a target that is constantly moving.

id imagine the best idea is to use both 100% blast and 20% blast

100% blast to hit someone dashing around on the ground

20% to punish endlag with maximal dmg

clashing / hitting whilst your opponent is in the ground

clashing may not seem like a big deal but just think about the times both you and your enemy were aiming at each other with blasts

am i crazy for using 20% beam to endlag punish

no they cant dodge cause its instant so its a good idea

nah i also used 20% beam but it was to punish endlag from a longer range
