Is there anything you don't like on arcane odyssey ( just asking

Vetex , You don’t know me, but as a fan I know you, you are my only favorite game maker, the game you make will bring and will always be the only game style I like, I will always trust your choices.

wait, does this mean you’ll get hunted if you rk? cause that sounds great if it does

You can just play like a coward and run lmao

and get your island stolen in the process

play the game first

Then wait for them to spot a ghost ship :smiling_imp:

and it should be cause fuck guilds and people who are part of them

I understand I’m nitpicking and this shtick isn’t funny anymore since I’ve hated guilds from the start but damn I am a man of dedication and the long game

they’re gonna return, and if your plan is to just run they’ll take back the island again

suspected this from you

i somehow got my top 2 replies in the span of a day or two

@Cerulean personally I wouldn’t go for that but that’s just me

since people are so pressed about the removal of rking for infamy, you could maybe use that dueling feature on the idea list and make it so clan members can bet infamy on a duel. with that you’d probably have to add combat log infamy too since most people would just leave if they’re about to lose. i don’t think it would be impossible to have some kind of special in battle status like how you could be in combat with the magic council and get auto arrested in wom.

i dunno, not saying you have to or anything but since people seem to really want a way to get infamy from pvp i just thought it could be a useful way to utilize the dueling mechanic whenever you add it.

There would have to be a pretty low limit, or else this would just be used as an easy way to donate infamy.

I’ve had accepted suggestions and I’m certainly not part of Vetex’s upper echelon.

Wow serious dedication.

His lifes work :star_struck: this is gonna be a masterpiece I think.

Dude, if you rly love RKing infamy, then just never join AO and stay on WoM since it will stay open. And there, problem solved

Youll likely get a bounty from it and then bounty hunters can hunt you down for your bounty

I’ll never understand this need of arguing about a game you haven’t played yet; sure, you can comment on stuff that is really transparent and has been fully shown, I like seeing people speculating, yet there’s a very small part of the community that never ceases to amaze me on how they are able to complain and nitpick about even the most insignificant of details.

And when they are proven wrong by the dev, they will feel obligated to ‘show this sense of righteousness by not being like the masses!’

So, this whole ordeal was caused by someone not liking the future system of infamy gain, which is still not done just to clarify, because they couldn’t kill people anymore? Really?

I believe that the point about infamy has been conveyed multiple times by Vetex, so I feel no need to continuously beat a dead horse.

Also, the fact that Vetex only accepts testers-only suggestions is wrong as he has accepted multiple suggestions AFTER the revamp was announced as you can see in #suggestions-accepted or the removal of Ancient Fighting Styles by making Common and Lost Fighting Styles able to evolve into Lost and Ancient Fighting Styles respectively.

Therefore, from what I’ve seen: certain people tend to be butthurt because things don’t go like they want to, so they complain about Vetex, about how he abandons games, about how he doesn’t listen to the community, which are both very wrong points.

Vetex does listen to the community, you can ping him on Discord to ask a question; sometimes he also does small Q&As to clarify some information that the community may ask clarification for.

In conclusion, expressing your opinion is fine, nothing is wrong with judging a feature that has been fully shown, but when you attack the dev and nitpick about a mechanic that was changed, (which essentially does nothing since island capturing will surely be healthier than just killing someone) that’s when you’re in the absolute wrong.

Grow up, and learn how to respect someone and their work.

You can look at the stuff on the trello though.

Most of the criticisms I see are usually about features that haven’t been developed yet, so their Trello descriptions aren’t the best to go off of
