Is vetex REALLY removing agility?

I think homing will be less effective on faster magics because projectiles will go foward much faster than they can turn, unless you have 400 homing ofc

at least aim assist works for more than just projectiles.

But seriously, anything affecting how easy it is to aim an attack aside from changing how fast it is probably wont be remotely balanced.

Aw man, I liked running fast.

are you sure?

Yes.

agility is gone but at the cost of fucking homing as a new stat

tbh i think it should work kinda like how the slipstream idea did, where if enemy is in a certain degree of where you’re aiming, it’ll auto-aim to hit them
if you had, like, 100 accuracy, it’d be 5° off and it’ll adjust, 250 is 10°, 400 is 15°, etc etc slowly reducing the degrees the more you have

just make agility into casting speed and atk spd into projectile speed/range

im just mad cuz i run tp reflex warlord
now i have to change my build because they replaced a whole ass stat with one that doesnt benefit fs at all and only benefits fuckass mages
honestlyy this might be the straw that breaks the camels back

why is it that the same people going “this idea is way too late for AO to use” to that theoretical combat rework vetex made go “THANK GOODNESS AGILITY IS FINALLY GETTING REMOVED IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED ALL THIS TIME” is it not way too late for major changes to the game’s combat?

While I liked that combat rework idea, it was an entire different thing to this.

Removing agility doesn’t fundamentally change the combat system.

that even fucking worse???

bro we already have attack size, who sit down and think “hm yes we need homing too” :sob:

dont fcking cut my legs off for this dawg

nvm add homing glory to wind magic

in most games, fast projectiles are usually the worst at utilizing homing since they move too fast to turn reliably.
Homing metal.

What if the homing stat isnt adding aimbot, but instead along with the stat vetex is adding a thing like npc inaccuracy where your attacks go a few degrees off target?

someone with patreon ask him

Still aimbot.
Not good aimbot, but aimbot regardless.

idk about yall but i think we should wait until more things are revealed

It depends on the type of homing.

I don’t like this idea at all, idk what vetex is thinking, idk in what word homing projectiles are a good replacement for movement speed.

But, i figure we’re all thinking of homing as in “the projectile will course correct mid flight” and that might not be the case.

It could be homing as in “the character will auto-aim to a certain extent”

Like, you have your reticle, which is where the projectile should go, and you have a circle around it that expands the more points you have in precision. If your target is inside that circle, your character will fire at them rather than at where the reticle is pointing, prioritizing always the threat closest to the center

It gives it a bit of aimbot

Sidenote but if the conjurer couldn’t do anything, how is that meta?
