Just yapping about stuff from WOM TO BE AO

Bring back Dynamic Npc I missed when npc could walk around and have different dialogue when you talk with them and when quest was randomized and they have sleep schedules you could kill them and you just feel immersed in the game you could be a villain just killing the npc and don’t get me started on the Magic Council you actually felt fear when you commit a crime Cause they will haunt you down and kill and be stuck in jail for 9min.
I know there’s going to be that one person who is going to there saying to bad you can’t have Dynamic Npc so get used it but kinda of have dynamic npc in the game so having not that walked around would it be so bad it just be castaway but in town.

why can’t commit crime at a low level

Just add the notification from Grand navy saying you broke the law or you stole and have you paid that fine that was in Wom and it didn’t cause lag.

Who thought it was good idea to remove the threat system bring that back cause like seeing my name on the top of screen when you enter that someone is causing a threat in area.

Bring back big islands with horses

dynamic npcs was a good feature, but it had to go because of major performance issues

I did kinda like the threats, but given that everyone spawns at ravenna once you complete the story, having threats that send the gravy to it would be literal hell with how many people be fighting there

Dynamic NPCs will probably never return. Roblox cannot handle the sheer volume of AI, and all the complexities (and bugs) it brought. That’s the biggest reason WoM had such horrible performance.

Threats worked well in an open world where you didn’t spawn based on story progression; Which is not how AO works. AO is a lot less dynamic and “life-sim” like- meaning there’s a clear island progression, and if threats were brought back, every single story island would be under constant threat, 24/7.

When the game gets to the point where you can set your spawn point (claimed island bases, for example), then maybe it could be reintroduced. But I don’t see a point, considering the gravy already chases players regardless of location.

you already get hunted down by the G.N, and being stuck in jail for 9 min isnt a good thing.

npcs that walk in a preset path around town? maybe. randomly generated npcs are also a maybe but if it was just preset npcs walking around its fine.

Big islands will be coming back in the form of Sameria and Jotunheim, but horses won’t due to being unnecessary

These ideas may like theoretically work fantastically in a fictional future where Roblox was a viable game engine compared to the likes of Unreal Engine. But this is like sadly not the case so like maybe doing a highly limited version of Dynamic NPC’s could work? I have like no Idea how horses could work in a small island/sea based game though.

How Would horses be unnecessary when there is going to be big island that the only reason Magic’s Got revamp just added horses to the game

Why would you both script and rig a feature that’ll only be used for 1-2 islands, plus players already have enough mobility to traverse islands in the form of airstep/leap and reflexes

seeing as vetex did say all kingdom islands were going to be bigger than ravenna, I would imagine you could need horses on those too (there is min. 8 other islands that will could use horses since skyhall is in the sky)

While that is true he never specified how much bigger they are compared to Ravenna plus you have to factor in the player getting more mobility options as the game continues

as I said could. I doubt horses will be ever added as vetex cannot make land animals. Additionally, ravenna is already decently large and sameria is probably going to be bigger in landmass and not have a massive fucking mountain in the middle of it and I would assume all other kingdom islands (outside of jotunheim and skyhall) have a similar land mass to it.

the game already runs quite poorly, this will just make it even worse

I’m pretty sure vetex confirmed sameria will be about as big as magius from WoM (the current size, not the planned continent size)

Well, one of the reasons why horses would be unecessary is the fact that we are travel far faster and are less limited with the current movement system (dashes n’ stuff), whereas compared to WoM it was just pressing ctrl and holding W.

(also Vetex is allergic to modeling land animals)
