Let people apply to be suggestor acceptors

right now, its virtually impossible to become a suggestor in a reasonable timeframe, its been months since I resubmitted my application and I’ve gotten 0 response. its been said this is a symptom of the mods essentially getting bored of accepting suggestor applications, therefore I propose something different from the mods being the only ones.

Once you reach trust level 3, you can apply to the mods to become a suggestion judge, this can only be kept as a tl3 or higher (if you lose tl3 you lose suggestion judge), and the application must be directly accepted by the mods themselves. then, as a suggestion judge, you and other ones vote on suggestion applications to see who can and cant post in suggestions.

this solves the significant issue of basically nobody being able to get suggestor anymore, with even other suggestors basically smuggling suggestions from other users into suggestions.

seriously though the system really needs a change considering the people who’s job it is to accept applications don’t wanna accept applications :skull:

Suggestion Judges shouldn’t be chosen due to TL3. That’s hardly a way to enforce quality. I think Headless should ask Vetex whether it would be possible to let a few people who are both testers/forum mods and also active (which is the main issue here - none of the people with Forum Admin permissions ever seem to actually touch the forums) who can be additional suggestions judges.

I’m not saying that, I’m saying they need to be tl3 to make sure they are active (unlike the current ones)

still also a good idea though, this was just off the top of my head because I was tired of waiting for my application reponse :skull:

I think the lack of Forum Admins in general is a decent issue here. Other than Vetex, Tech and Headless, the three with admin permissions are
Trollus (Who isn’t very active anymore)
Night (Who isn’t very active anymore)
Meta (Who isn’t very active anymore)

that’s not to say there’s even any good admin candidates because there’s like two forum mods remaining now + divanochi.

I’d rather make suggestor acceptors at least TL4
Despite activity of Tl3, we’re still just strangers here who probably have some thing behind out-backs, sure we’re more active but TL3 is by far too easy to obtain. Usually this would fall under certain contributions and leadership of the user, like Bio for example since they shown great contribution and communication throughout forum community (Including maturity)

While some people like me, you, or others aren’t exactly fit for this, mainly because we just aren’t at that criteria yet

I think I’d be a good pick for this role.

For starters I’d actually tell you no instead of going silent while you wait for a response that isn’t coming.

Also if they’d accept you for tl4 they’d probably accept you for this, there’s not really a need for the extra degree of separation

Tl4 shouldn’t be obtainable like Tl3 either, the perms are too powerful.

I think there definitely should be additions to them as well :sob:
bio and crimson are perfect choices for stuff like that

I always think TL4 is just TL3 but a better title
