Let’s talk TGR currency

So, even if AO is gonna be the other side of the world, it’s still only a month after AA, and it felt like Lamina was a worldwide currency. So are Lamina and Aurem making a comeback? Aurem might not (maybe because it was only in the 7 seas, but even if that was it, it’d be nice to see Aurem as a luxury item), but Lamina would be nice to see again.

look, europe and america is on the other side of the world but you dont see europe using dollars or america using euro, crowns, pounds, etc

aurem is likely like gone since lots of aurem was fought for in wars, here especially

maybe we’ll still have crowns, it’s on the other side of the world. And if this is ancient times i highly doubt the other side of the world interacted with the other

then again we’re talking about powerful magic users so

I think there should be a whole new currency. It could be called a drachm after the old greek coinage but that’s a bit hard to pronounce. Perhaps Aurae after Aurem.

In other news… how could vetex improve the economy for TGR? It’s a rare chance to do so without backlash, so what do you guys think?

Ou drachm(a)

Give one to a dead player and they’ll be transported a new universe called underworld

Crowns are gonna be changed to a different currency visually (basically a rename and recolor) but they’ll still have the same values and drop rates for everything. Lamina was only a currency in the Seven Seas

You gonna call it Gold?

or Arcanium, eh we’ll see

Well yeah, having it stay as crowns/a paper currency wouldn’t really fit in a sea-based area with lots of warring kingdoms, so its being reskinned for lore purposes

Gold is a generic and bland name

Crowns are made out of paper? I’ve been lied to all along…

it was quite obvious :sob:

So you tell me, crowns could’ve been easily exploited if a paper user can magically make crowns? god damn.

Paper + ink and you’ve got yourself all the crowns you need

No, merchants had a method to check gold and crowns to see if they contained magic energy or not

They will be renamed to Galleons

I was honestly expecting Drachma or something related to Aurem.
Galleons is a really really weird name, if I’m being honest.
