Limbus Company Gameplay Thread

Welcome aboard the new revamped Limbus Company Gameplay Thread, it has been a long time since i last edited this topic, and i felt like it was in a dire need of a proper revamp for a long time.

This thread’s mainly used to share Limbus-related content, and mainly a way for me to record my progress on Limbus Company…since it’s a pretty story-heavy game, with difficult boss fights at some point in time.

it has been a long time, 3 months and 2 days, to be exact, which is how much time has passed (at the time of making this edit) since the making of this thread, and i am suprised by the fact that it still keeps going, so i’ll have to say this…

thanks you, to anybody who said something, helped other people in the thread, basically people who said their 5 cents in this thread.
I will edit this thread whenever possible, which will be used as a way to archive my builds.
My builds aren’t perfectly optimized for the given situation, but they do the job either way.
Build N1:
A Bloise build (Bleed + Poise).

-This build has undergone alot of changes during it’s time, considering that i first tried to make one when i got the game during Season 3, before the “Yield my Flesh, To Claim Their Bones” event happened.
-During certain Cantos…i’ve had to use certain identities to help me beat certain stages of the game, they served their role well, and they only serve as mementos for the time being, mainly Liu Ishmael.
-In the far future…i might optimize this build to include Harpooner Heathcliff and Captain Ishmael.
Build N2:
A Burn Build.

-This build’s currently in the making, i will update this topic accordingly whenever i fully manage to finish it.

Once again…thanks to anybody who talked or viewed this thread.Much appreciated.

Canto II’s currently a pretty great twist from the…shit that happened in Canto I, positivity in a Project Moon game? well…i assume it’s gonna take a dark turn soon, when i’ll get to the dungeons, but for now…i can enjoy the story without being flabbergasted at character deaths.

One thing is that…i have a flaw with my strategy:i lack gluttony affinity.
And i need to pull off Chains of Others EGO and Crow’s Eye View, which allow me to cripple Abnos, i need to find as to who had gluttony skills in the first place…

I must say that…the final dungeon was way shorter in terms of story, but the enemies there were cracked, i thought i would lose for the first time, but i think that’s more likely to happen in Canto III or IIII.

After my victory, i’ve decided to do a celebratory 10 roll, and got these guys Liu Association Hong Lu and Seven South Association Heathcliff, not bad, i must say.

Canto II…was great in it’s own right, but i prefer Canto I for now.
There was…no cool boss abnormality? i saved up my EGO resources for nothing.
But atleast we did a loud mission in the end during the casino part of Canto II, i am not that good in stealth games myself, i prefer loud when it comes to games that involve stealth, so that’s cool and all.

Hong Lu was supiciously talkative during Canto II, i thought he would be the one to have a lore reveal like the rest, or maybe the writers remembered about Hong Lu and Meursault’s existence, considering both of them said…like 3 dialogue lines in Canto I, if my memory’s correct.

I am really enjoying the game as it is currently, both due to how easy the fights are currently (probably the biggest factor in how much i like a game), the story and characters, overall great.
This…took around 6 hours to beat one chapter…and Canto I only like…i forgot, somewhere between 3-4 hours, from what i’ve seen somewhere…Canto III might have less levels to beat, which means that it might be shorter, who knows, i’ll find out soon.

honestly I never thought I’d find myself enjoying a game like this, especially without spending any money lol.

a friend recommended it to me so I decided to give it a shot a bit over a month ago.

that’s great to hear.
The game dosen’t really feel pay to win, like alot of gacha games, but you can still pay money to make the game much easier for yourself, but i feel like it would make it…too easy.

don’t worry, the first intervald has mersault talking a lot. canto 4 also treats hong lu somewhat well (more specifically in the dungeon)

i’d also prepare yourself for canto 3, it kinda gets difficult then with nail un hammer getting involved (get blunt attacks please)

canto IV has a few, canto V has some that will definitely be a struggle to take down on the first try (god forbid you steal some hair coupons. then there’s also those three in the dungeon)

most EGO i have and Meursault’s kit is blunt-based, so it should be enough to deal with Canto 3 enemies.

A person on the discord server i was talking about told me about 4-48…they didn’t even elaborate what’s even there, likely due to spoilers reasons, which is understandable.
i keep seeing 4-48 jokes in the discord server i am everytime i mention that a fight wasn’t challenging enough.

don’t worry, the challenge (and writing) gets alot better after the second chapter.

also EVERYTHING is canon with no exceptions from what I can tell lol.

You are broke as hell
Get to work
Mirror dungeons are waiting

How do i access them? i only have Luxcavations unlocked.

Is that a joke or is really everything canon? dosen’t that imply something that i do not know of?

no like seriously, even stuff like thread and uptying is part of the lore.

oh god, not the Roseate Desire EGO…

Finish canto III

it’s all explained after the first intervald, in Dante’s Notes within the theater section

i think i should do luxcavations to overlevel my party beforehand in preparation for Canto III.

i’m going to say this now, please read some of the status effects before making a move

i didn’t and i was confused while i got beat down by the boss

:x: you do not have the capital to do that anyways

I occasionally read the wiki to know what identitiy does what, i also read the status effects, too.

my 200+ energy begs to differ, i can make as many enkephalin modules as i want to enter them.

i’m not talking about identity status effects, i’m talking about the boss’s exclusive status effects

oh right…i didn’t pay attention to some of them, i only know what their status effect does from their respective passive tabs.

that’s because i spam EGO and they get vaporized from existence.
