f2p turned-based gacha game that is pretty good in terms of writing
Oh, that’s disappointing
I’d say to give it a slightly closer look than just knowing the genre.
Its different from other gachas in that you can unlock everything without paying a penny.
Even if you are paying, its barely anything compared to the hundreds of dollars others would ask.
(10 bucks every ~6 months for a battlepass that’s super easy to fill out and gives you resources that’d cost you both kidneys in others of similar genres)
gacha is misleading
Wdym, it is a gacha game undeniably. It has gacha elements and they deeply affect the gameplay (both surface level stuff like “you can gamble” and deeper stuff like units almost never being rebalanced and the story being easy).
The game does have a generous “pity” system which lets you avoid the gacha entirely and is far more efficient than gambling. You can even spend a little bit of your gacha currency to grind this “pity” even more instead of gambling with it.
They’re more referring to how its misleading in what people expect from a gacha game.
like paying for a full price triple A on the weekly to keep up with content lol.
Also Limbus’ story isn’t like other Gachas, theres a lot of deep dark stuff down there, which u can tell from the warning screen
Nah I’m fine with dark plots. I love stories with darker tones like MGSV: Ground Zeroes and the Outlast series
But yeah, Limbus is pretty generous when it comes to giving ’ characters ’ or Identities in this case through various means ( also u gotta work hard to make sure all yr characters r leveled for the story stages + some real hard bosses )
I’m playing the game for the story, i find it really cool that the gameplay stuff is canon and some of it is directly brought up by the caracteres. Also what i absolutely adore about this game is the grand total of 0 sexualization, absolutely 0 dirty jokes, explecit stuff or incels. I don’t know about you guys but finding something devoir of these things to me is like unearthing a gem.
Also the good balance between humor and the horrors
I rate it 10/10 because of how sincere and authentic it feels
