you probably got them to half hp and got the cutscene as a result of fulfilling the win con
i think there was a bug where if your team ended up dying or if you left the stage you still won anyway, i think it was patched by now

Played the new mirror dungeon and I’m kinda disappointed.
It’s basically the same thing but it’s easier to rig runs. There’s barely any new content, and the stuff they added is lunar memory levels of rarity.
They brought back starlight and it seems like you can use it to guarantee fusion focuses and theme packs. No permanent upgrades though.
I checked the wiki and there’s two new ego gifts and one new event, all of which is basically just meme content that you’ll never find on your own (new gift rarity “EX”, one of the EX gifts improves fusion chances if you lose a 99% fusion and the other comes from an event with a 1% chance of making everything 1 cost).
I was hoping they’d try to make the only consistently replayable part of the game more, y’know, replayable, but alas it seems like they’ve accepted that it’s just for grinding crates.
MD still sucks in comparison to the majority of roguelikes (and a lot of games really). Not a fan of how they’re leaning into “big numbers = fun” since it gets old fast for me but I guess it’s what most people want.
