video game reference
I don’t really know. I got the idea from the game “In Stars and Time” and it felt fitting for a character themed around stars and space.
Part 2:
Kaira
AO Version
Kaira was a very masculine and fierce girl since her youth, often seen climbing trees and fighting others. Her parents despised this, wanting her to be more humble and feminine. This led to constant arguments until Kaira was 16, when she decided to run away from home. She has been wandering around the seas ever since.
Original Version
Same as AO, but with a few differences: her parents wanted to marry her off to some rich noble to gain wealth and influence, leading to further resentment. She also unknowingly has one of the macguffins of the story. Also she’s in a relationship with Galahad.
Galahad
AO Version
Galahad is the exact opposite of Kaira: calm, serious and defensive. There isn’t much to his backstory rn except his parents were killed by the Order/Legion when he was young.
Vilmar
AO Version
Vilmar is a brilliant scientist who studied magical properties, leading him to be captured and forced to work for the order. He tried to escape but failed and was tortured. In desperation he injected a prototype into himself, making him extremely powerful, but also making him insane. After breaking out, he became a mindless killing machine, a monster with no morals.
Original Version
Vilmar was a sucessful experiment made by the Neferians. He was raised believing he was superior and a prodigy. He became the personal Assassin of the Neferian Emperor, and a wild beast made for killing.
ur the legendary beast atlantean bro
Colin Burns (Lawful Neutral)
Sailor juggernaut, former whaler turned bounty hunter, favors his martial arts over his spiritual powers (60s/40v)
22 Years old, 6’1
Lore Yap
Colin used to work as a whaler alongside his parents Arthur and Claire Burns at Shell Island. In his free time he would practice various martial arts that his father could find manuals for, eventually settling on Sailor Fist as it best suited his profession. Around his 17th birthday his hometown was plundered by the Jaw pirates, they quickly overwhelmed the Ravenna soldiers stationed there and quickly ransacked each and every building, stealing any food, ship supplies, or valuables they could find.
This aggravated Colin as despite his hometown offering Ravenna food, supplies, and even funding year after year, this is the “best” protection that Ravenna could offer for their island. In his fury, he denounced his allegiance to the Ravenna nation and swore that he would hunt down every last criminal that he could find to ensure the safety of both his hometown and any nation that is neglected by the rulers of the war seas.
Part 3:
Alycia
AO Version
There isn’t much about Alycia other than her Father dying when she was 16.
Original Version
When Alycia was a child a monster, which is a failed experiment of the Legion, attacked her village and nearly ate her. No one was hurt but it left her traumatised and timid. After her Father died when she was 16 she decided to explore the world to leave her comfort zone. That same year she saved a stranded Assassin girl named Valerie and they became BFFs.
Valerie
AO Version
Valerie is another child soldier of the Order, suffering lots of abuse. She ran away when she was 16 and tried to live a peaceful life, but her past would come back to haunt her.
Original Version
Valerie’s Mother was a very sucessful assassin, so she hoped her daughter would be the same, but Valerie was a slow learner and not really into the killing part. She suffered neglect and abuse, and carried out her assassinations as young as 12. Nine years later, her and her crew pulled of a big hit, killing a Corsair Lord and finding lots of loot on his ship. Valerie was betrayed by her crew. They trapped her in a cave and tied her to gunpowder barrels, but she escaped at the last moment. Still, she broke her legs and was stranded, but she was saved by a passing Alycia. Distraught by the betrayal, she decided to quit the assassin life for good and live a peaceful one.
Lucius
Idk man I literally have no idea what to do about him.
Oh wow, another possible webcomic? I love how creative this community is.
I guess I’ll share my main, although she will be mc in my own AO webcomic that I want to cook up.
Edit: added more screenshots
Katalina Caraway, shadow/poison mage, 20 y/o. Her outfit currently varies.
I’ll make proper screenshots later and edit them in. Also you can always check my artworks.
Last one is her usual outfit and the way she will look like in my comic.
Lore & stuff
Since she’s my mc, plot of original game happened to her - she was captured by Order, has amnesia and killed some people. If you decide to add her, you can leave it out.
Next are important points about her:
-
she has beef with Grand Navy. Once she was falsely accused of interrupting an execution (she was in the wrong place in the wrong time) and soon incarcerated. When she wanted to explain herself and point out that it was a mistake, nobody listened to her. They just like that threw her behind the bars. That made Katalina angry and now she seeks ways for destroying GN.
-
she’s actually a nice person. She’s kind with her people aka her ship crew. She can even be nice to strangers and help them out. But after what Grand Navy did to her she tries her best to be tough and ruthless. She hates injustice, but the way she deals with this problem turns her into a villain in eyes of others.
-
she kills off any Grand Navy member on sight. She thinks that murdering is the only way she will be heard by them. Random innocent people also became her victims - Katalina tries to make herself tougher by killing innocents so that later she won’t spare someone who doesn’t deserve it out of pity or something like that.
-
her mother is named Eliza Caraway. She was a notorious and powerful criminal who mastered shadow magic. Her story with Grand Navy is similar to Katalina’s - she also got falsely accused and then arrested. Like Katalina, she got angry and turned to killing. She killed her husband because he was very against her methods, took Katalina who was only 4 at the time and was on the run for long years. As years went she got more abusive towards her daughter, but Katalina doesn’t remember it. When Katalina was 18, Eliza attacked Palo, had a very long and brutal fight with Grand Navy and after hours she finally went down. Soon she was executed.
All of this was done to attack Silverhold and destroy Grand Navy influence in the Bronze Sea. Katalina wants to do what her mother couldn’t achieve, that being destroying the Grand Navy entirely in the name of everyone whom they did wrong.
-
about Katalina’s eyes in my art… It’s unnatural and was not intended, but I like how it looks so let’s just pretend she got it as a result of Order experiments.
-
her ship is named The Sea Rat and has orange rat pattern. No actual reason for it.
She also has a second identity which is Sonata Call but I don’t really wanna include her. Even if, as Katalina would say “if you accept one of us, you have to accept the other”.
If you want some total fucking idiots, Bond and Nessa- Bond being more morally grey and Nessas criminal rival. Despite this, they hang out together always- and debate on different topics, i intend to have their bond (haha pun) be VERY sibling inspired
(i need to draw proper refs for these dumbasses lel)
Part 4:
Rosalyn
AO Version
The daughter of a wealthy Corsair Lord, Rosalyn spent her childhood in luxury, until when she was 12. The Corsairs descended into infighting, and his Father was being hunted. In desperation he turned to the Order, who agreed to help him, then immediately backstabbed him by handing him to the other Corsairs. Rosalyn was forced to watch her Father and childhood friend executed in front of her eyes. After that, she was thrown into captivity, until she was 16 when the defeat at Port Mistral weakened the Corsairs. She and another captive escaped, but the captive wanted to live a peaceful life while she wanted revenge. The other captive left her, destroying her trust. She became a freelance mercernary as she waited for her oppertunity for revenge.
Olivia
AO Version
Idk
Original Version
Olvia’s Father was human but her Mother was Tenebrian. Her secret was discovered shortly after her birth, and her Mother was executed. Her Father handed her to Champion Nicholas before he was killed as well. Nicholas, distraught, contacted another magic council member, Iredius, and they used foribdden magic to seal away her lineage, and Iredius raised her like his own.
Please note that a lot of it is condensed and simplified
Holy that’s a lot of OCs
Ah sorry if I gave too much
Again, feel free to pick and choose which parts to keep, or even make up your own lore for them entirely to suit the story’s needs. I’ve decided I’m not gonna be picky with how my lore is handled.
Also I just looked up your art and you’ve got some cool stuff. Excited for the comic
It’s a very ambitious task you’ve set yourself to, make sure you take care of yourself.
this is my main file James Graves, Sand Conjurer (his stuff is designed around him having canyon var sand but he doesn’t (I WILL get the ORANGE SAND someday MARK MY WORDS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-))
imma split his lore into three parts
Early Life
James was born and raised in Sameria, with both of his parents being native to Sameria. Although when James was still fairly young, his biological father left on a business trip and never came back after years, presumably having been killed at sea or somewhere else. His mother re-married to a man from the Thorne Empire who worked as a blacksmith. This occupation would change his life greatly, as his mother believed that James should focus on using his gift of Sand magic to its fullest. On the other hand, his step-father disliked magic, and strongly advocated for both James and his half-sister Corrina to train their skills in weaponry (James is a weapons-focused-conjurer) and basic bare-fisted-fighting (Corrina is a berserker) respectively. Corrina did not object to this, as she had always been slightly stronger and generally more athletic than James. However, James had a much closer relationship with his mother, and opted trained his magic with her in secret, while also training with weapons (the great-axe is his favorite). James and his mothers’ secret would remain that way until James turned 18, and decided to set out to sea as a part of the Samerian navy.
Main Backstory
13 years later, James leaves the Samerian Navy and returns to Sameria, where he had planned to live out the rest of his days. Those plans changed though, he is reunited with his sister Corrina about a month after his return. It is then that she offers James a partnership. During James’ time in the navy, Corrina had made a name for herself as a well respected merchant. She offered James a considerable stake in her company, and in exchange, James travels with her as a personal body guard. The truth is, James never really liked his plan of abandoning the sea for his desert homeland, and also believed that this partnership could turn a fair profit for him. James accepted his sisters offer with only one extra request: a new set of armor and weapons. She agreed and bought James a mighty set of titanium armor, which he could move around in with little issue despite the weight. Although he did omit the arm of the set, as they just weren’t flexible enough for him to handle his axe. Years go by in James’ new occupation, and he proved himself a strong and reliable body guard and fighter, as well as crewmember; given his past in the navy. With James protecting Corrina and her company (in the form of a mentor for multiple other guards), the two of them grew immensely rich together, while growing the company to span the whole of the war seas, even braving the marauding sea to earn an extra score. Truly, James had acheived a greatness he had never imagined, and it was all in part thanks to his sister. Who he had grown so close to by this point, that he had forgotten she was merely his half-sister.
(and now the big life changing twist)
After all their years of sailing, and even the occasional adventure, something terrible occurred. While sailing through a dense storm, not unlike anything they had survived before, the ship James and Corrina where sailing on was ambushed by two pirate ships. These were no special pirates, but the density of the storm let Corrina be caught off guard, with little to no time to react to the oncoming attack. The pirates surrounded the ship and almost instantly immobilized it. The pirates made failed attempts to board the ship, but they were no match for James and Corrina. But right when the pirates had been stopped a massive wave crashed onto the ship and ripped it apart, separating the two from any kind of live of sight or hearing. To make matters worse, James had removed his helmet in attempt to avoid sinking to the bottom of the ocean and to gain some sight. But there was no sight to be gained, and a large piece broken off the ships mast hit him in the head, knocking out the already tired and weak James instantly.
James floated on the surface of the water unconscious for no more than a few days after the storm cleared before he was rescued by other merchants. After he had woken up, he could barely recall all that had happened, save for the moment the wave crushed Corrina’s ship, and when James saw her for the very last time. For all he knows, she’s dead.
Now (ig)
Now, years after the wreck, James didn’t dare go out to sea again. The closest he would get to the sea was when he helped load up ships at the dock he and his wife worked at. His past never left him though, he continued as a mentor, training those of all ages who seek the understanding that is necessary to allow them further skill in weaponry and magic alike. That’s what his life was like for the longest time after leaving the sea behind, but as of late his home has been the target of low-life pirates. And he hates pirates. He blames them for condemning his sister to a grave in the abyss. Now he dons his titanium armor once more, as a deadly reminder of a foolish pirates fate, with his faithful axe-head to the neck of the criminal. A mercenary of his own commission with a single purpose; rid the sea of pirates, by any means he sees fit.

People really like receiving artwork or stories of their characters
My main file Currently is name Corrina Anchor. She’s a Water and Ice mage.
She’s pretty energetic around people she’s friends with, which includes her twin brother Vega, and her crew, but not too many other people. Her body is also strangely lightweight, allowing her to fly with minimal effort. Though, it makes her quite susceptible to attacks from weapons or heavier magic types. It’s assumed that it comes from some special genetic, likely from apollo or artemis, though it’s not completely certain yet.
The human urge to hit a homerun using her body
I do have a simple background for my OC, I wont go too deep since AO’s story is still expanding
Victoria Shield
Victoria is a light paladin, born and raised in a religious noble family (currently i set her birthplace at throne empire, it’s probably most british there), her current goal is to retrieve all the spirit weapons wield by criminals because its truly disgusted her that the precious items blessed by god is being used in wrongdoing, she called this noble mission “[The Crusade]”
Her spirit weapon is that amulet on her chestplate, it was blessed by hestia
That’s all for now, let me finish my calculus class first
Here’s my character and his lore if you are still interested in looking for characters. 160 posts in 7 hours for this kind of thread is crazy though.
Regardless I’m interested to see what you cook up for some of these characters that people have sent!
