Whenever a character gets evil influence like that, it’s usually to emphasize a greater villain, because the AA sand zombie boss is just an extension of acheron’s evildoing.
Or it could be due to them picking up a sea curse, which like, is obviously gonna screw with them, it’s a curse and they fell for the temptation to get it.
Also, acheron’s corrupt evil influence is actually just from Hades being the only one who gives him a chance, so he’s not really even evilified, he’s just like that because no one likes him except the genocidally-motivated death god.

he was definitely impacted by the curse heavily but the only times that the rupin situation really happens is if the user themselves was already unstable af!!!
this doesn’t really happen with trigno, averill, randal and I guess some others if we can also assume that they aren’t evil due to The curse or just not evil in general (nilah, julian, valencia, etc)
i will agree with the fact that alot of the villains have the exact same plot point tho. i think rupin does it best. he should be the only one with this actually Kill the rest off

what happens if you kill a curse user and then jump right on top of them before the curse flies out
do you get the curse? or does it phase through you so that billionaires and investment firms force people to buy devourers
P.S, the argument that the curse flies faster is utter bullshit if people can already move fast enough to teleport
Would be kinda funny if it turns out that curses are nonabsorbable for a short period after shooting out the curse-user but still tangible so you just get vaporized on the spot

Upon death of the user, curses EVAPORATE from their boddies, getting pulled to their origin of creation, similar to how Blessing returns to the god that gave them. But since the Prometheus is dead, they go straight to Chaos or Creation (for blessings) who are up in the space somewhere.
But, as they shoot up, they somehow stabalize and become physical, taking on the shape of a cube, and as they become fully tangable, gravity starts affecting them, so they start falling down, but since earth rotates, they dont just fall back where they came from, but rather in different place, which is usualy dark sea, making them glide on it.
