He used to have his own world and places, Ian’s Cross and Oberon, and while it wasn’t great, it was a good start
Now he just smashed and pummeled real world history, greek mythology, arthurian legends, his own lore and who knows what else together into a chaos stew and expects it to work out

samurai armor set desc iirc
I checked both the samurai set and samurai armor set, but both of them seem to only say “worn by samurai from the Ryujin Dynasty, a kingdom in the southern War Seas” Rather than any mention of it being east
Though I’m reading it from the wiki rather than in-game so it may be inaccurate
hm, I swore it used to say east, perhaps vetex changed it
because vetex realized too late that “oh shit my lore makes no damn sense” i still think ao’s lore makes no sense personally because it really is nonsensical but you know it’s fine. all the retcons and stuff had to happen because overall the lore didn’t make sense. why does Prometheus give humans magic? that’s not even his domain. that’s why vetex had to go and write some convoluted explanation about how he “stole” hekate’s domain for no good reason just cause why not let’s give humans magic omg it’s so dumb and don’t even get me started on the fracture or gods dying 
it makes no sense either way. you can see how all the og ao island names were just in English and there was no greek in sigh and then we got thrylos ierochos makrinaos etc etc bcuz vetex realized “right I’m making a game based on greek mythology yet there’s not a sniff of anything greek here”. honestly ao has never truly felt like a “greek mythology inspired game” to me because it’s severely lacking in the greek mythology department dare i say. the gods being dead is probably the most idiotic writing choice ever because the gods are the main characters and they’re what is is interesting in my humble opinion also you can’t kill gods so idk how arthur did what he did. if this was actual greek mythology he would be rotting in tartarus but i digress
tbh i kinda wish the og lore was kept (tho i haven’t even read the new lore doc because i don’t care about the wider lore because it’s nonsense now) like ian’s cross is SUUUUCH a cool name imo it’s boring how now humans get magic in athens like expected but meh idk i just wish the lore was different. i think the reason the lore makes no sense is because vetex made it up when he was like 14 or something. i also hate the damn name changes like i can fw durza being acheron although durza is already so iconic idk if we can ever truly let that name go though oberon was a cool name idek the new name of theos’ town. Honestly i REALLY like ao’s story just not the lore. i hate the fracture with a burning passion BECAUSE IT MAKES NO SENSE like you’re telling me Durza just nuked the planet and these little plates neatly split perfectly? WHAT. And then sky islands are even more idiotic Apparently, some land was catapulted into the atmosphere with humans, and then it just landed on clouds with people on them 
like those people are dead dead. If this actually made sense, the fracture would’ve turned the earth into basically a magma world and everyone would be dead and that’s that. it pmo when islands like thrylos exist and those dark sea islands that have neat little structures perfectly cut like omg anyways I’ve had this on my mind for months lol
