Small little change to help make customizing skills a bit easier.
Re-Organizing Keybinds
Let’s say you had q blast and e beam, but you wanted to switch them. There should be a way to drag and switch skills. You shouldn’t have to remake skills entirely just to switch which slot they’re in.
Sort, Search, and Favouriting Names
Just in case if these aren’t planned for finding names already in skills. All 3 of these should be implemented to make it a much easier experience to find the names you want.
10-100% Descriptions
I’ve seen a good amount of people get confused by stuff like blast size and explosion size and what it means to lower it. On each side of the scale, add a small description saying what happens if you slide it to this side. For example, let’s take explosion size since its the most simple. Left would be “smaller, but more damage” and vice versa for the right.
Back and Forward Button
If possible, add in a way to reverse or forward your option. Making a mistake and trying to find out what it was before might be an annoyance so these little touches would help quite a bit.
UI Related
- Let the magic customization take up more of the left side. Theres a lot of empty space there and having 2 rows would make a major difference.
- When selecting a casting style, there should be bars on the top that let you only see those specific casting styles. There would be left handed, right handed, and two handed. Much easier to navigate and see.
- Don’t change the characters angle and let players freely move the camera. It’s much better then the camera feeling locked to one spot and you have to stand still to customize.
Testing Mode
Potentially add a way to test skills you’ve made before you want to save it. The UI would still stay and this will temporarily save the edit allowing you to use it. If you decide to quit out of this testing mode, the changes will be reverted.
