Proposal

I want mage weapons, is that too much?

Obtainment

Once a magic-using file awakens, they can go back to sailor’s lodge and talk to Steleus. He will give you a quest to take down a miniboss, and he will award you a choice between the 3 magic weapons. You can talk to him to change it any time afterward.

Weapons
  • (insert magic here) staff:

a staff with an orb of your magic on top of it. keeps the staff m1s but every hit fires a slash-shaped projectile that goes a very low distance. Every casting animation will be changed to staff animations. (animations are already made) Instead of the staff idle where the player holds it outward, the idle would look like this:

  • (insert magic here) tome:

a book the color of your magic with the magic symbol on the cover. The book floats in front of the user, who uses their magic to boost it up. Keeps the same magic m1s. The book increases how much size and speed changes when you charge a spell. When a tome user starts charging a magic circle, a beam from the book would look like it’s lending energy to the circle. Casting animations will stay the same, but there will be a trail effect on your hands when you use a spell or m1 attack.

  • (insert magic here) crystal ball:

a ball of your magic that floats diagonally behind you. Same magic m1s as the default. Increases damage and intensity of your magic slightly. Instead of casting magic spells with magic circles, your spells would be dragged straight out of the crystal ball. Changes all animations so that your hand goes back and reaches for the crystal ball before acting the spell.

Reason to add/change

I want to add this because it would be compatible with the game, look nice, and provide more builds to choose from.

If you have these in one of your weapon slots, You will summon It when you equip the magic tool.

“why did you add this?”
I was in the dark sea and saw the Theos statue, and then remembered that he was the only wizard I’d heard of who used a staff. I wanted to change that. I also saw general Hassan and wanted that cool-looking tome of his. Therefore, I turned it into a suggestion.

my only issue is that if it takes a weapon slot, conjurers won’t have access to it without compromising on a large part of their moveset

and i think there should be a downside bc these are essentially shapes / t2 enchants

no it’s mostly cosmetic with minor buffs to ur magic like weapon enchants

Kind of, but it only scales on magic and is mainly built for mages, not conjurers.

I think we gonna get arcanium weapons but if not then yeah some weapons to carry instead of normal ones would be nice

So it just makes a conjurers worse mages with some weapons.

I thought they’d be more like the magic staffs of Arcane Adventures which were cast unique spells.

I don’t think vetex is gonna steal the spotlight from mages being heavily ranged based by adding a weapon for them.

dude this thing adds no new abilities or whatnot it literally just gives mages more cosmetic customization by changing their casting visuals
