strength weapons have increased size and lowered speed by default, but to be honest i dont exactly know why they exist either beside some sort of realism as the weapons are “too heavy” to be used by anyone without strength
theres no stat combo that really makes sense to apply to all arcanium weapons, and either way they would only have a purpose early on until you can use all skills of regular weapons. the only gimmick of arcanium weapons from the trello (casting spells with altered stats) has been fulfilled long ago with spell shapes, which conjurers will have access to regardless with enough stat investment
That makes me wonder, can that magic combination thing be through imbuing arcanium weapons with another magic?
Pretty sure this already exists somewhere on the Trello though most of the ideas there are outdated/not relevant.
This would be cool if shapes didn’t exist. Even if these had a downside like the examples given in that Trello page (e.g. casting through a bow would heavily increase speed but lower size… hey where have i seen that?). Adding weapon casting AND shapes would lead to a concerningly high amount of stacking which might cause balance problems, or at the very least a lot of salt from the you-know-who part of the community.
I think this would be better as a feature for magic focused conjurers.
And if people want to cast from items for drip, then these items could still be wearable for mages just without any stat changes (I think this is a bit silly and maybe less than harmless).
First, lots of people have referenced this being in the trello, I stated this in the Q&A.
Second, normal weapons also have this kind of mechanic (cutlasses have 0.1 more speed and 0.1 less damage than normal swords and katanas are the opposite)
