Correct me if I’m wrong but did you thought about adding armor durability before the bonus defense coming from armor pieces since the idea felt forced
I’m really thankful for the pros and cons you listed but like two of them go against the intended purpose of armor piercing and one just straight up ignores the law of equivalent exchange : more power = less defense
Just grab Ceneryx gear. Or even deluxe iron. You can easily get enough defense from those alone, nevermind enchantments. I’m not saying Calvus isn’t hard to first-timers, but adding more stat bloat just isn’t the answer here. We already can get like 2,000+ defense, with our natural HP being like 1,000. Having the ability to more than triple our defense at no opportunity cost is just going to cause more problems down the line. And that’s not even talking about the inconvenience of having to repair armor over and over.
Also, I just thought of something—wouldn’t having the game track durability on every armor piece in our inventories cause more lag than the inventory does now?

I never even considered that arcane odyssey would have the lag problem with tracking durability because other roblox games and even outside roblox that does the same has no trouble with them. But well I guess arcane odyssey is a bit special.
Anyways yeah, thanks for the feedback, a mod can just close this since it would probably just cause lag.
our stats are already extremely high for such a low level, we dont need yet another thing to keep track of to have the highest stats. twas enough to go from rare enchants and rare gems to exotic enchant, exotic jewels and those pesky modifiers
and anyway people dont typically like pointless durability systems

The idea of us needing to maintain our armor kinda breaks once u take the dark sea into account. Even before then it just seems teadius and unnessasiary.
If u we had this u would get weaker and weaker durning dark sea expeditions and even if it is not intended u will atleat on a small level feel like ur are being punished for staying longer in the dark sea. That can seriously impact how the dark sea feels.
The suggestion is written good but the idea just doesnt fit AO. Being punished for getting into many fights is a deepwoken thing not an AO thing.
I’d rather global hp buff than making minmaxing more painful

just isn’t fun for a exploration and combat based game nor does it fit
@anon904914 here’s another reason why aside from the added more lag to the already lag, i was trying to be constructive and help you for your future suggestions, this isn’t your own solo project game, there’s a playerbase reputation to uphold and we don’t want unnecessary complicated things to worry about constantly, do YOU even want that? we just don’t think you’re thinking your suggestions through, like can you picture it in the game for the next 5 days, 5 months, 5 years? don’t you see the burden and backlash you’re asking and putting on the playerbase?
