day 8:
messing around with distortion
Keep working, When I started music I often struggled with mixing and picking good instruments but once you get used to those stuff it gets easy from there
oh really? what daw do you use?
I use Fl Studio
alright
heres day 9 and 10, forgot to upload 9 yeterday:
btw if your struggling with practice then one thing that helped me a lot was focusing solely on using a piano sounds to make music, makes it easier to learn the bare basics.
oh thx for the advice, ill keep that in mind for my next ones
day 11, this is my first time actually playing my notes myself to make a loop
day 12, had absolutely no time to make anything good

I will recommend learning what scales are which should help make your music sound better
Scales are kind of like “Rules” which limit you to certain keys that would match when played together (different scales have different moods)
After you get used to em you don’t need scales, but it’s helpful to start with an easy scale like c major which basically limits you to full white keys
(Note: You don’t need to memorize scales, It’s unnecessary.)
(C,D,E and such would be the white keys of a piano, if you see C# or D# then it’s the black key near the original white one)
After you got an idea on scales try learning to make a chord progression (preferably on C major), it’s essentially like 3-4 keys from a scale played together which sound good together.
I think this short video will give you an idea of what a chord is:
(Don’t bother much with memorizing the roman number part, unnecessary)
I love peak games. And do you know what else I like about peak games? Their music.
One of the map themes, and honestly looking at your thread, I wonder, will you manage to remix this entire theme in 3-4 months? Would be really amazing :3
thanks a lot for the help, really appreciate it
btw you know any other instruments you can use to record other than midi keyboards?
num. 14:
if you mean the sounds itself then I normally just use serum to make electronic sounds as instruments or I use sound fonts (A pack of instruments from a game usually)
if you mean the keys thing for placing notes then not sure cuz I only use keyboard for the entire thing, Easier to just go off its keys
