I feel like weapon melee m1s need a nice rework. They are straight up outclassed by fighting styles in terms of damage and even ranged for cannon fist. They also do not give poise break or even poise damage. So overall, worse functionality, worse damage, worse attack speed as well in most cases.

My proposal:

Give melee weapons a unique ability that if you use a skill and m1 a bit after the endlag, you gain a stack of “Stance”. Stance can be stacked up to 5 times and stance does 3 things:

  • Each stack of Stance increases your blocking power by 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 12.5% and 15% additively. ( 5 + ( 2.5% * No. of Stance stacks))

  • Stance increases your jump height, be it from your high jump, or just pressing spacebar. It will also increase the duration of the glowing effect when hitting someone. Weapon skills like soaring eagle are not affected.

  • Upon reaching 5 stacks of Stance, you will be buffed with “Flow”. Flow will totally stop the regeneration and consumption of both Stamina and Energy. As you reach “Flow”, any stamina damage you take like getting hit by Breathtaker or parrying fall damage will be negated. If your stamina or energy is low, damage to yourself is negated and you will also still be able to cast skills.

Stance will decrease if you do not use it within 20 seconds. And stance doesn’t care about how much dexterity or range you have. It will always be the same timing.

What this ensures:

Unique mechanic over Strength. Strength → damage and stun, Weapons → good PvP and PvE utility (niche but useful).

Compensates for the fact that weapons can only have a max of 5 skills per slot instead of 8.

Dragon Cliffs are easier to climb without having to rely on Magic or Spirit Flight.

Let me make a few comments for what it entails for PvP:

It’s not overpowered, it realistically won’t be used all that much as it is going to be a bit annoying to maintain, especially when you are busy having to constantly block against someone immediately after using a skill.

It also means you are stuck a little in mid-air when you decide to melee m1 meaning that you can be punished more easily. But if you are successful, you can benefit a bit from it.

It is balanced by the fact that, if you are at low energy, and you just got out of Flow, you still need to wait until you have enough energy to cast another skill.

For against people who run away from fights or passive people, it does slow them down, but also slows you down if you strategically need it. But it can also speed you up without too much delay.

As for PvE:

It does mean that you will have an easier time scaling up tall cliffs. It is easier to fight NPCs by stacking Stance before attacking the said NPC, though this could apply to players as well. It only lasts 20 seconds though if you don’t keep it in mind.

It allows you to block 100% of damage without energy being consumed, meaning you can straight up tank Mythical dragons by parrying them without taking damage. I find this part really funny.

It makes you look like a badass, something like parrying a nuke without taking any damage. We all know PvE players care a lot about cosmetics and roleplay. Like imagine just sheer aura farming a Mythical dragon by parrying every single blast and your teammates are like: “That guy is HIM”.

Wont happen since vetex is vetex and roblox is roblox, but worth a vote ig.

yeah

what?

Cool idea, i think it would be fun to have more unique warrior things

Although I would propose that being in the flow state should have a visual indicator to everyone (mostly for the cool factor ngl)

What?

Oh absolutely, it’d be even better if it can match your weapon aura with a gem inside for colour.

Less people playing ao due to age checks (less player count = less reason to change stuff + less money), and roblox occasionally bricking games as seen with AA.

AA was bricked because FilteringEnabled NEEDED to be enabled, something of that proportion would never happen ever again.

This is roblox we are talking about here.

I know, and I am being completely fair in terms of Roblox’s shitty track record, doing a change that will brick games in this grand year of 2026 would fundamentally ruin the platform.

Stop just blaming them with no reasoning, “oh it’s roblox” it is, and despite their stupid decisions; they still have enough common sense.

No, they dont. Ever heard of the new age verification? Playerbase is about to take a hit. Odds are me and MANY others will not be playing ao again.

Oh, they also might take away private servers (search up what happened)

They do.

If they didn’t have common sense, the platform would’ve literally have been unplayable due to Server Authority being forcefully enabled.

Age verification is majorly due to the stupid U.S. laws, a byproduct of their stupidity is that they are enforcing it, but they still have common sense to not absolutely fuck everything up.

I understand hate, but not hate lacking reason.

Not sure i understood the concept.
So you just click M1 after using a skills and… you get a free buff? I mean, do you have to land the M1 as an attack, or is it just timing and nothing else? It’s not really clear.

It’s mostly timing, like doing a black flash with Yuji in JJS.

I agree with this statement and idea change

@Dudeman

forum try to not add the most complicated mechanics for the most basic skill in a rework suggestion

u know what im doing one too

Blast rework:

now blast can be charged max to 4 blast pressing the same key consecutively, after that u will shoot 4 blast at once (not like amount, more like barrier) if you hold the key ur character will raise their arm and the blast will become proyectiles with homing

if someone gets hit by blast they get a debuff called “pooped” and they will die instantly and get their account banned after stacking 5 stacks but if they dodge it in a 45° grades with movement ability they will get a buff called “getgud” and if they get 9 stacks of it they will become invensible for 3 minutes

The only problem I see with my suggestion is that it could be viewed as overpowered, though in actuality it isn’t that strong. And it is a bit complicated as a suggestion, however in short it is just:

Time m1 after skill, get small buff. Stack 5 of the small buff, get stronger buff.

Literally just crystal magic but tweaked.

i think weapons are enough op rn

instant aoes and guns are already a pain

blast is a spell. unless you mean m1 blasts? m1s arent a skill.

i can see a few problems with it beyond just being an unneeded buff to weapons
1st (and everyones favorite totally!!)- lore
what system currently in place would be able to support m1ing after an attack for an agility and blocking power buff? doesn’t make much sense to me. “Shoot your gun, then shoot your gun again, and suddenly you’re faster and stronger!”

2nd- m1 system in general
m1s are generally pretty useless already outside of like thermo heating/gun m1s/cannonfist m1s, and they aren’t meant to play a part in any combat besides just killing low level npcs or at the start of a fight before people take to the air

3rd- poor reasoning for it to be added
you said this suggestion is meant to make weapon m1s more comparable to fighting style m1s (because they can poise-break), but weapon m1s simply shouldnt be as good, plus theres also magic m1s and uh.. relics dont even get m1s..
your second reason was that this feature “compensates for the fact that weapons can only have 5 skills per slot instead of 8”, which, okay yeah i can understand that, but you also get 3 slots with weapons so its 15 vs 16 skills in relation to pure builds, not that big of an issue.

4th- reasonings against it being added
you yourself said that people wouldn’t really use this in pvp (i think it wouldnt be used in general without macros), which isn’t something you should say when trying to convince people why it should be added “yeah lets have the developers spend time on this feature that people may not even use!”
you also mentioned one of the issues with m1s being that they anchor you when you use them mid-air, making this system even more punishable.
you said that it would slow people who run from fights, but its an optional feature that they wouldnt use if they were running, also you said it can speed you up, however the suggestion itself said it only affects jumps which doesnt matter at all during chasing so like whats even the point of using it besides getting into flow state

overall i think the suggestion could use some revisions in how to do it and what it gives, overall it just seems like you wanted to add a jjk-esque feature into the game (since you keep comparing it to black flashes) without actually thinking about use-cases

lore-reasoning: 0/5
gameplay-reasoning: 1/5 (at least you acknowledged an issue, just didnt make a suggestion that tackles it properly)

and this isn’t meant to be mean or to beat you down, im just trying to provide semi-constructive-criticism on where i think the suggestion fell flat and where you should revise
