Hello! I’m a beginner wiki writer, and I need help trying to find info on Merlin Ambrosius (Merlin for short). I’m trying to find enough information to create a page on him, but I’m having a hard time finding any. The only mention I know of in AO is in the Book of Athena, but after searching on the forums for a while, it’s become clear to me that he’s been introduced much earlier. Does anyone have any info on him? Maybe from AA, WOM or OF? Even the tiniest bits would be greatly appreciated!

I was able to get in contact with a patreon supporter to send through some questions directly to vetex and tech, though it seems we’re still awaiting a response. They were able to send me some older patreon messages, confirming some of the information y’all were able to give me, which is a huge relief. One step closer to being able to create the page!
PS: For those wondering about rules for patreon leaking, I’ve gotten both confirmation from a wiki admin and the patreon supporter that it’s fine due to it being about lore.
that guy was introduced at about the same time experimental curses got renamed to blessings.
oh and the wisdom blessing used to be called nirvana blessing
aside from that, all we know about them is in the athena files
As far back as I can remember, he created Magic circles (or supposedly did) with the help of the Wisdom Blessing.
Also a bit of stuff from the in-game Athena’s pages or whatever they’re called (found in the Dark Sea), the Wisdom Blessing… well, it makes the user wise (shocking I know). Plus the bonus of logic which helps to predict an opponent’s moves purely off of logic.
If anyone does have anything on him, would you please be able to list sources? Like screenshots from dev messages? Those could making things a lot clearer too.
The only lore we got on him is that he was Arthur’s sidekick and had the Wisdom blessing which made him smart and skilled in magic but shortened his lifespan to just 300 or so years
