Nah, I got her. My main file’s got perfect cooking both in-game and in what I regard to be his “canon” timeline/universe of the AO story
she’s ready to learn
though she isn’t exactly the FASTEST learner, she is still a very determined one
Cooking is an art that takes dedication and time, anyways.
Had Kaden try.
Did not go well. Not letting her anywhere near Amber (the two would get along way too well).
THIS IS SO CUTE OMG
Diane truly is a walking fire hazard, we need a water mage on standby wherever she goes
Unfortunately Kaden’s a lightning Conjurer, and Amber would only help Diane set stuff on fire.
This is why you always carry 682 bottles of seawater on your person at all times, you never know when someone might try cooking
if only my lightning-wind mage had his 2nd awakening (he would still do absolutely nothing to stop her)
don’t let them cook, in all meanings of the phrase
Seeing someone else draw my character kinda brings a tear of joy to my eye. In a good way.
Okay actually this is a thing i was thinking about
I’m not exactly sure what magics Diane has, in-game she uses Magma + Steel only cause Steel looks the closest visually to what I was trying to go for (smh glass shouldve had an obsidian variant)
I mentioned that she had “obsidian” magic, but since that doesn’t exist in the AU (?), i was thinking of two possibilities for her:
- Obsidian is a lost magic, mutated offshoot of Water (or glass) and Magma
- Diane actually just has magma magic, but since her species is meant to stay mostly underwater, it turns into obsidian.
loreheads pls tell me which would be the better option
also if u come up with something better that would be cool
Obsidian does sound like a lost magic, I’ll admit.
Hopefully it gets added so you can play it.
Option 1 seems more logical since I don’t recall any magics mutating like that
PLEASEEEEE VETEXGAMES
I imagine it functionally it would be pretty similar to glass but does more damage due to its sharper edges, but is slower to conjure due to its association with lava (and much more difficult to control than glass)
And EVEN THOUGH real obsidian is very brittle, video game logic says its very durable soooooo it could be used to make shields to absorb hits better
If diamond magic can get in then obsidian has a pretty likely chance
In real life, while obsidian is indeed pretty brittle, it actually has been used for weapons before. Specifically, parts of Central America once utilized it in spears, clubs, and knives for human sacrifice.
This is the better option, and it’d be Water + Magma due to the pre-existing interaction.
Could also TECHNICALLY be a fusion of minds, but… At the same time, that gets fucking crazy, considering that mutation is a logical combination, while the fusion of minds is a… Literal combination (Aether Lightning being literally Lightning + Aether, and originally being a fusion of two minds before it became a planned lost magic)
Obsidian would probably fall under a similar case as equinox where it’s technically just mashing two separate magics together that is somehow considered a lost magic
