Lately I’ve noticed that the stars around people’s ratings on suggestions are just completely missing for me. Is there a new setting or something that’s toggled off by default? This is affecting both PC and mobile for me. Uncertain where exactly to put this but this seemed like the most appropriate category.
Well not on the suggestion itself, but on the replies to the suggestion that rate things. Let me grab an example.
Here, in this suggestion I posted a reply where I rated the suggestion yet the stars don’t appear at all.
And yet if I go and edit my post I can clearly see that I did rate it. This same issue persists with posts with ratings for every other person I see, making it impossible for me to be able to tell what people are rating anything.
This issue also persists across all suggestions new and old, and has just started happening when I got up this morning. Was some forum update pushed through before then recently? I didn’t alter a single setting and the issue has appeared for both mobile and desktop. Desktop OS is Windows 11 and my phone is Android. Probably doesn’t help much to know.
Probably unrelated side issue (though it could be related) and possibly not a bug at all but the forums keep saving literally every message I type as a draft when I close it and has been acting real funky lately too which is extremely annoying, such as opening messages I had already finished posting again in the message editor.
Edit: Tried clearing out all of my drafts to see if that would magically fix the rating issue but nnnnope!
Updated the forum recently. Something broke I guess.
Probably a bug with the plugin itself. I wouldn’t know. I think it’s better if we don’t see the ratings for replies anyways. Less harassment that way.
Perhaps, though in the case of genuine harassment muting/ignoring or flagging are generally a lot more effective and convenient, and I would like to be able to actually tell who is giving ratings and who isn’t as that helps to determine who might be invested enough to be open to discussing a suggestion. Regardless suppose I’ll just have to wait around, just hope the bug gets fixed.
This bug still hasn’t been resolved just by the way almost a month later.
