no it wouldn’t, we fight verdies very early game, of course he’s much stronger than us, especially since he’s also using a magic that’s a tier above ours at that point in the game
“backpedaling”? that was literally a joke based off of how conservatives (primarily mister shaprio debater himself) title their arguments. Not gonna critique you on this because you may not be versed in this.
My apologies if you were misgendered, just used it as a sentence opener
Absolutely Not. A basic geography and history lesson on the time would tell you that the only potential way the people of Japan could have made it to Europe was the Silk Road. Whilst sure, you could use the examples of migration from people like the Gokturks, Magyars etc. You could not extend the same to the Japanese, especially when they had not yet even fully developed, or in the later half of the 1000 years had become isolationist after the 2 failed Mongol Invasions. Also, your argument that “ships” could have been used is LAUGHABLE. You’re telling me at a time when the furthest possible voyage was China to Indonesia or Somalia to India, Japan could have sailed from Japan, across South Africa (no suez till 1800’s) then past the rough Atlantic winds to Europe is just…
refer to the above history and geography lesson (yw gng)
Refer to the argument below, the Silk Road was exclusively migrated in mass by only those adapted to the terrain, eg. the Hordes of the Turks, Magyars and other Mongolic/Turkic groups. Japan could not have realistically changed their entire historical line up to ignore their development to try fight their way through the hellhole (basically an actual battle royale) of the steppes.
Verdies is stated to be a prodigy for achieving Plasma prior to his second mind. Yes, this would absolutely derail Verdies’ feat which was his mutation at under 100 years. (Only other people were told have done this are literally Theos and the Peacekeeper.)
he’s still a prodigy according to the seven seas and what they know of magic
And SS’ plasma is significantly stronger than that of the WS from what we’ve seen
whole lotta yap not related to mistral update patch notes rn…
what are you guys even arguing about rn
it is comparatively stronger to the source magics present in the seven seas which makes it appear stronger as we are comparing it to lower level things, but it is not actually any stronger than the war seas’ plasma
tldr: seven seas = based, war seas = beta male
hmm, maybe the promise of superhuman powers along with a way longer life span would attract more people to use a dangerous road to get to the place where they can obtain said powers
theos is the coolest character in the verse tbf
Verdies was about lvl 200, you can find lvl 200 plasma npcs on boats and bounty boards. Again, the Seven Sea’s plasma is stronger as seen in its effects and requirements to achieve
Another disciple of the truth i see
what specific effects?
Stand Proud Iris, that argument is still invalid…
(They would not have magic until they reached Europe, unless they actually did wait in Japan and waited a thousand in years for knowledge to pass the silk road, in which case yes my first argument that positions in Arcane are random would be true if they end up in 2 clusters based off of greece and the middle easts)
there’s no reason for the seven seas mutations to just be flat out stronger since they’re both the same element, levels might not trasnlate 1 : 1 between ao and aa
also could be a gameplay thing
Plasma in AA left a stronger dmging effect than scorched, though i forgot its name (it should be somewhere on the AA/R wiki for the effect though)
(if you try say AR is not canon, the Verdies battle effect is seen in AA, watch any 2016-18 video for this to be proven)
My argument is that Mutations are stronger than War Seas Base Magics
However, if I am to entertain the argument that the War Seas is more advanced, the Seven Seas is still stronger because to achieve Plasma, the person is actually required to be skilled. Tldr; in all metrics, Plasma and other Mutations from AA that were converted into base magics are still stronger
