December 4. My birthday’s today lol. I haven’t posted in quite a while, but I will try to start again after Winter Break begins.
I’m turning 18, and I have had a lot of fun in this community. I improved my art over months when I first began in May this year. Ore, Rlka, Macobre, Tong–you all are awesome. When I go to college I am considering majoring, or at least minoring, in art.
A little information about this post now. I don’t think I have time to draw something new–though it’s my birthday I still have assignments and college essays to write. When I first play the game, I create a buff black dude with fire magic. I was trying to go for someone large but warm-hearted. However, I decided to change my main to resemble me–so Asian. This was around when the game was fully released and the wave of water was part of my first fan thumbnail. I continue to draw my OC for a while because of artist collabs and my decided design for him to be Savarian.
happy birthday, Quest
i’ve loved your art and looked at almost every one, and they were better than I could do myself. hope college goes great, and your birthday is a good one
I absolutely love the design and flow , plus nobody talks about how cool Savarians are in concept.
Here’s to another year! Happy birthday ^-^ (seriously BRUH WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME SOONER [OR AM I DUMB] I GOTTA WHIP UP SOMM FOR YOU RQ AND YOU CAN’T SAY NO OR I’M GONNA EXPLODE.
DUDE YOU’RE GONNA BE A WHOLE-ASS ANIME PROTAG AND WE, THE FORUM ARTISTS, WILL BE PIVOTAL IN YOUR TRAINING ARC
@quest5 Can’t promise it’ll be fantastic since I’ll have only today to do it (or it might be a bit late ), but my bday’s Apr 1 (yes haha funny fool day whee). Honestly just seeing you post more art is enough for a bday thing
Id start by getting an understanding of color and just doing some sketches. Dont take my advice to seriously tho. Ask some of the people that actually have artist role
@vera
Value and structures are more important than color for just starting.
Values (light and shade) can be practiced be with reference and study, which ofc applies to all art.
Structure drawing is pivotal to understanding 3d space so you can dray anything at any angle and depict accurate anatomy based on your knowledge of structures in a 3d environment.
