i read the message more closely and yeah i see how it could be considered black-marketing
the part that probably got them banned was “get 30k by tomorrow”
still though, if a mod said it was fine, punish the mod instead of the guild
I mean for all we know they could be lying, we aren’t given context on who the mod they’re talking about that lied to them.
thats why i said “if”
if they present proof that a moderator sanctioned the giveaway
sure it is against the rule but
why does it have to go against that rule?
It wasn’t any form of black-marketing, ie, something to “give” for the giveaway, but just a threshold to ensure newcomers don’t get it. People don’t sacrifice any personal things or belongings or information or all that, it’s literally just… an anti-scam requirement put in place.
It’s the definition that’s in the rulebook so pretty much to them it is. Their requirement could’ve been just a level role in the server to prevent newcomers joining in just for robux but they made it so that it’s something they can benefit from ingame, which is a transaction by the way (e.g. You give us 1,000 reputation and you earn the right to join the robux giveaway).
it was moreso that the giveaway promoted the members to farm reputation for the guild (a service) in exchange for robux, but yeah this situation is dumb
Oh so that was what that guy was talking about in the wiki discord
Yikes
Can we have a screenshot with both question and answer? As it is not clear what Servatius is refering to.
