If all magics give the same aura power speed and size, how come some magics still give better defense

I like the idea but this hurt my soul.
Attack going faster means more force means more pain, not less.
If you fire a bow quickly, you don’t have the time to draw the arrow back enough, so if you manage to fire out two arrows every 10 seconds, they hurt less than firing one every 10 seconds, as the one had more time to be drawn back

disregarding the fact that more of 1 stat = less of another stat is stupid, that doesn’t change the fact that more velocity = more force
That is if we’re talking about projectile speed, not the speed at which one performs the attack, which is what attack speed is in 99% of games.
Yes, if your arrow travels fast, it hurts better.
However, what we’re talking about here is you firing the arrow more quickly than usual.
If you want to fire arrows out of a bow, or swing your sword, or do pretty much any action, five times faster than usual, you will literally be unable to do it efficiently. Yes, you may be able to pull the string or raise your weapon at the adequate frequency, but since you have no time to do it properly, as opposed to doing it slowly, your attack will be much weaker.
In other words, for fucks’ sake, stop confusing projectile speed and casting speed.

increasing ur casting speed still wouldn’t lower ur damage since it would increase the speed u can output attacks at full force
that’s… kinda what casting speed is
ur just describing sacrificing power for more attacks which isn’t the same as armour that magically increases your attack rate
also the idea of increasing 1 stat decreasing another is stupid anyway
The real problem with the balance changes is that I went all in on real cheap atlantean essence right before this hit the trello.
