The art is supposed to symbolize durza new body holding his old dead body after the fight. The cube thing is suppose to be the cube from the lore that granted durza power. And the skulls cause it look cool.
The human durza i use my old design, The new body i just use some random durza gif i found as ref.

Hells yeah, dude. This is amazing. Why does Durza wear a white cape thugh? I mean, it sure looks cool, but why not a very dark purple or black one?
“I have the POWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!”
Cause white ones is easily to paint then black ones, and the white color contrast very well with his body, like the X on his head and chest. (Overall it just artistic decision)
If you want some lore reason, just think of durza having god complex and maybe want to dress as ones.
Nothing like cradling your own empty husk of a body to make you feel alive.
