Currently all solid magics have rather low quality imbuement VFX on weapons. This is especially noticeable on bladed weapons. I can’t really even describe what they look like, as you basically ruin the weapon by covering it in dull and blunt blobs.

Could we please get a rework on the VFX for the imbuement on the weapons themselves? The VFX of the attacks and SFX don’t need to be touched at all.

The easiest solution would just be to remove the blobs and leave the rest as is. It already coats the weapon in the element and adds particles.

then instead of a blob its a mesh resembling the offense part of the weapon

The problem is not the in-availability of ideas and options. The problem is that Vetex doesn’t wanna do it :sob:

Removing the blobs is only the simplest solution

I think the best option is changing how they render, so they actually form around the blades instead of against them. In the first image for example, the claws are completely covered in metal blobs that face the wrong direction, when it could just be three blobs that go along the three blades.

Maybe having it be like Iron Leg? Where it changes the texture of the weapon it is imbued into.

i dont get why he cant just make it so the material of the blade/weapon is changed, thats look so much better

best i can think of is some bullshit like ileg is weaker so it only coat a thin layer while magic coat is thicker or some shit

thought the first image was an open can of sardines.

he literally changed sand imbue to look like a weapon made out of magic but okay vetex :sob:
