This is just for fun really. It’s possible none of them are involved.
My guess is that this time around it might be a situation where an “advisor” (maybe one of the generals) is really pulling the strings and manipulating the ruler.
Though, we know nothing about these characters, so we’re all going to be simply guessing.

I think that we can almost certainly clear Empress Nilah from being part of the Order of Aesir, cuz that would mean two kingdom leaders in a row would be part of aesir and that just feels very lame
I doubt the Empress is, but if she was, that would be kinda lame since weve already had a king as a high lord
