You certainly could use the rest of your clan, but it really doesent fix much. The amount of people connected to the Neptune circle with elyisum access inside of it is smaller than the amount of people who don’t have access to elyisum.
Yet it’s definitely enough to suffice the audience which I’m offering to, which is the people invested in this topic.
I don’t see anything good coming out of you acting like this after I do what I’d deem to be a kind virtue, it makes me more inclined to dislike you.
What’s with the cocky attitude? Where are you taking offence here?
It’s very clear that a large majority of this site don’t want to accept that fact - you’re being unnecessarily detestable right as you joined this discussion.
I’m going to be completely honest here I thought you were arguing for the entirety of the PvP community rather than the people in this topic, (so it would be like saying “because I and my freinds give ely access, the problem is solved!”) which would be ridiculous. I also skimmed through the topic faster than I should have, which is another reason why I made that confliction. My apologies.
Good boy.
(apology accepted its all good bro)
guh
now I want to keep arguing, someone give me a frivolous reason to
It is unbalanced, slow, janky, and the learning curve to make it actually feel good is mountainous.
Like why would I put myself through that when I could just hop on a different game?
lightning is boring
he would argue with me on that one
I agree with everything the original poster said.
I do not want to pvp. Hell, i can not pvp well due to a literal disability which sends tremors through my arms when experiencing stress.
What makes pvp/ganking different from the PVE content i engage in?
I can choose if i want to do it or not.
Dont wanna hunt pirates? Easy to avoid.
Dont wanna get jumped by criminals? Easy to avoid.
Dont wanna get jumped by some fuckin jackass that decided me fishing in a spot is a criminal offense? I will now be hunted down for three hours for no better reason.
i like pvp. i think it’s really fun to 1v1 people. the problem is, 99% of pvp i run into is either A. when i am grinding for builds (to pvp with) or getting reagents and stuff B. max levels killing my new slots C. at a time where i dont want to pvp, and always nonconsensual. getting accosted by a random 50k bounty assassin every other server isnt fun fr (this is why i am strictly devoted to the art of running)
This is why I surround myself with a crowd who don’t tend to make the game unfair - the only time I encounter unfair builds and unbalanced builds is when ganking (which is my own conscious decision - so I can’t complain about it).
I’ve always felt as if AO’s PvP is rather fast paced, I have very poor eyesight so that’s definitely an influence, nonetheless if the game is too slow for you then I’d have to argue it’s to do with what you’re running as a build.
I just went back to the Hecate Essence thread to find out you run Poison/Acid Mage, which could definitely be a contributor to this feel.
The skill floor in Arcane Odyssey is horrifically low, and it’s not hard for a completely new player to become good at the game if they can understand their mechanics to even a seemingly subpar standard.
Do they know me and @electricboi757 are THE lightning conjurers?
I’m sorry that’s happened to you - although I don’t have a disability which causes tremors - over my summer I had ongoing tremors almost everyday because of a poor life decision I made whilst I was studying for exams, and it did make me considerably worse at Arcane Odyssey, if something like that is preventing you from PvP’ing to a presumed full extent, that’s completely fair.
How new?
i did i got confused with the assignment (tried to start an argument w electric)
To be fair, i do not mean PvP overall- i am so incredibly excited whenever someone does challenge me (via chat) or i and my friend do something even though it will not end well- i mean ganking, in specific.
Ganking is too an activity one does not actually have control over and that bothers me so much
usually anywhere from 50 to 100, usually closer to 50, and at 3 to 4 hours. this happens to me basically 0.75 times per file (the assassins need that sweet sweet bounty)
You’d love Neptune.
If you’re closer to 100 I’d argue it’s possible to beat someone at 140.
only problem with this is at that point i have little to no access to good gear and don’t have awakening yet. sure, post awakening with a random (and at least somewhat optimized) hodgepodge of gear would probably give me a decent chance, but there is no shot at me winning after getting surprise attacked by someone with full access to the current endgame
There are other games dedicated to this exact purpose, games with objectively better combat, and probably less lag too. Yet you choose to go after random players in Arcane Odyssey because you know the majority don’t match your skill and aren’t prepared for a fight.
Does anything about that sound wrong to you?
No it’s not. No it’s flipping not. Not unless they’re the single most incompetent level 140 you’ve ever seen. The vast majority of level 100s are working with random tier 1 enchantments at best, a set of gear possibly not up to their level, and have an HP pool nearly half that of many at level 140. That, plus no awakening buff, likely no jewelcrafting, and MASSIVELY weaker stats due to how scaling works.
The level 140 could just straight up spam placed explosion spells and they would still win. That level 100 player does not stand any semblance of a chance if they aren’t cracked and their opponent is remotely decent at the game.
Saying that being able to force PvP onto others is a good thing is certainly a thought. I’ve seen more coherent ideas in the plotlines of my dreams.
