You said it’s annoying, I disagreed saying it’s barely annoying and barely an issue.
oh no i was saying i agree. its not really that big a deal
Whart
but if there’s a spot in the game’s design where it can be improved then i mean. idk, why not
because yeah i totally can just wait five minutes for them to fuck off but it’d also be kind of nice if there was an incentive for people to just. ask first? at the very least???
what i’m saying is turn off the slipstream mechanic for non-duel fights. just flat out turn that shit off. duels aren’t in the game yet! but they’re planned! and once that gets added they can totally just do this.
i think random encounters are the kinds of fights where using potions and gels and stuff is already kind of normalized–you wouldn’t use a health potion in a duel, that’s foul play. so potions should be disabled in duels.
random encounters are scenarios where you should be able to escape, and scenarios where a hunter should come prepared if they want to capture a target. even without the slipstream mechanic at play, a bounty hunter or assassin could still just use a slowness gel or something like that to make sure the target can’t escape. if they jump in without that stuff on hand and their target gets away, that should be the hunter’s fault.
this wouldn’t punish regular pvpers. it would literally just punish gankers.
this is literally vetex
bro it was an example don’t take it 100% literally
I can sum most of this thread with
“It’s bait bro”
Yeah I could kind of see that. That’s also why I responded in an unserious manner. Strange right.
youre not ready to hear of the two tiered bait
i will spout bait and tell everyone its my own opinion when it isn’t
or spout my own opinions portrayed as bait and convince everyone that it is bait
ragebaiters rise up trust
I’ve thought about it before, but the major help would be either customizing controls in game. That alone would help greatly just GENERALLY for me. Some games have custom sensitivity stuff which helps so much, because when I start using a move, and the sensitivity changes so I can be more precise for my own damn hands, I like that.
THIS.
So am I. Hell, as long as they aren’t dicks after ganking me, I can be fine. Because I know my fate, though I’d like for it to change.
THIS. This is a major thing.
“worst case scenario” treasure charts and sealeds just don’t exist anymore?
this is the exact caption i had in my head
For charts and normal sealeds, yeah 5min. For dark sealeds, I have no idea how you manage to get ganked unloading sealeds, you can litteraly just pass the border to store them, force roblox to create a server, and unload em there
Imo the issue is the new player experience.
If no new players play then the game will slowly die.
People like me are too invested to be deterred by AO nonsense. Both Pvp and Pve.
I can handle being killed and losing my treasure charts and sealed chests, but if a new player has a bad time, I can’t say they’d play again.
The lvl 50 shield is basically saying “we have a problem” and instead of making pvp more interesting they just banned it outright.
make lvl 50 pvp interesting, go
There is this one idea posted by Pilles from the Balance Team I’d like to highlight
this basically turns it into the ranked gamemode people want and also gets rid of the current witchhunting-based renown leaderboard we have now
Level 50 players aren’t PVPing with other level 50s. There’s storyline for them to do at that point, and they’d almost certainly be trying to avoid fights.
Also, at level 50 you have access to like 3-4 abilities in total, good luck making that interesting…
weapon builds got some extra, most someone would have is like 6 weapon skills and like 2 magic. a more reasonable one is level 100 pvp, ive tried it and it actually goes pretty well (although this was a 1v1 with a friend).
