when vetex suposly posted the placeholders for the class names, like strong warrior for warlord, yeah people didnt like it, and neither did vetex act mature, imo tech is the one that had to clean not only after the community cause yeah some over reacted, but after vetex too
Allanon gives you inbetween his two fights so his second fight he’s literally stronger while you’re at 75% max. “Go do something else!” Bitch this is a story game and I’m doing the story which vetex is punishing me for also everything in this is basically combat unless it’s fishing or charts and oh yeah a lot of people love this features
I’m pretty sure metal mode ivor gives one which actually slows you down as well before going to his humaniod fight so you are 75% and can’t dodge as well!

I believe Maria is the only boss post calvus not to give Ike. Carina and Maria post Agros but Carina is a push over so her giving one would of been dumb ngl

I get Argos and Calvus giving injuries but rn I think Ivar is the only boss in Nimbus that deserves giving you an injury
That’s the thing, they’re literally just more content bloat. I’d sort of see it if it was kind of an “added difficulty” thing that lasted through a couple story parts, but it’s not, as evidenced by the fact that you literally can just afk for a bit and just do the fight normally.
The result is that, in reality, story injuries literally do nothing other than inflate difficulty to punish you for playing through the story at, supposedly, the intended pace.
In fact they annoy me so much I’ll make a suggestion on how to make them actually useful.
Ivor metal rod in our chest at least as a story telling reason makes sense (post fight) but it’s mid fight so you’re actively punished for doing his fight
Yeah, and you’re not forced to do it either, the game is just actively telling you “Ok, now take a 20 minute break before returning to finish the fight”
Just wait till vetex adds severe stiff injuries. Our movement is cut in half, half health, we do 50% dmg also our armor is ruined, but like calvus you’re trapped in this place, dying if you leave, until you beat this boss
In other words the dev is saying
Don’t play my game
Now, imagine if story injuries were a way for the player to challenge themselves when revisiting the bossfight, hm?
Impossible. Might be good game design which I don’t think can come from vetex at this point. Arcaniun weapons werent suppose to have ults for instance

From what I’ve read through these points; The story unfairly punishes the player from just… doing the story, makes no sense but that’s literally what it does.
Story injuries make little to no sense, why do we not have them when for example defeating higher level enemies, e.g. level 400 Atlanteans?
Sure, for the lore, but like… why? Why adhere to the lore in ways that EXCLUSIVELY punish the player? This isn’t immersive, this is just abhorrent dogshit.
Armor durability is nothing burger.
It exist, but wont do much due to galleon inflation of fleets. Since everyone will just have bagilion repair kits.
