Oracle robes not letting you properly swim

What were you doing before bug occurred:

I was chilling at Sandfall when I saw a cargo nearby. Of course, I decided to swim to it, but was unable to because of this bug.

Steps to reproduce:

  • wear this together, make sure they are visible on a character

  • go swim into the sea. The deeper you go, the more you will sink.

Yeah, we all love that Vetex can’t just tick the “massless” property or something along those lines, huh?

Oh well, at least a pretty visually bland set gets to be the heavy clothing that makes you sink in water.

I guess we gotta wait for 7+ months for it to get fixed since Vetex is working on full release. And it’s in the best case.

I’m pretty sure it’s unfixable unless vetex reaches out to the creator of the clothing item and asks them to toggle it

Aw, that’s a real disappointment. I don’t know if I should hope for it to happen someday.

A possible solution is just swapping out the models for something else but yeah it sucks

Respectfully, complete nonsense.
The armor could be no different to the rest of the armor pieces, except for one unknown flaw caused on Vetex’s end.
Even if it was somehow a problem with the model, Vetex COULD fix that.

But the model itself is not the problem, and if I’m not mistaken, the armor pieces’ models can be found on other sets, working just fine. Additionally, some of the set pieces are mismatched, made by different creators.

This is literally what vetex has been doing to fix it in the other ones, he goes to the ugc creator and asks them to toggle off mass, I’m not sure if he found a different method or something but I’m just going off of their official explenation of this bug

I guess I overestimated your stupidity, for what it’s worth.

However I just find that physically impossible. Mass can be toggled off in the game itself. The mesh of the object would never be able to matter.

From what vetex has said before in relation to rules with ugc I assume (although this may be completely wrong) he’s using the actual ugc in game, simply recolored. Meaning anything that applies to the ugc applies to the in game item as well

That’s not a reasonable explanation.
Most of the meshes are official Roblox items, not UGC.
Some of the meshes (such as diatrys) are custom-made for AO.
This would be a highly impractical method if it was true.

And that’s why this bug only effects a select few of the items :skull:

Stock, for future reference I’d advise you to try and consider your wording when apologizing for a misunderstanding. This comes off as condescending, which I know isn’t your intention; it’s just that such slip-ups are what slowly makes enemies. Especially online.

To my knowledge, this affects Alitheia as well. Alitheia shares a model with Theurgist.
