Good old times
Hunger would be useful if it encouraged cooking as I said before but the easiest solution to it is picking up food or buying food.
Itâs literally either a mash every once in a while or overkill eating via meals. (Slightly annoying to mechanic exists less than it already does.)
As I love picking up random stuff already, I often meet the requirements for foods at all times.
I guess there is a point that people donât pick up random stuff though, so maybe hunger does have a purpose? Get people to pick up food? Perhaps it wasnât apparent to me at the time.
Thank you for your insight, I have thought about my thoughts.
(I know this is a joke but it did give me pause to think, so thanks anyway.)
Personally I like it when grievances of the game are known though.
Like not in the âfix this gameâ kind and more âIâm not a huge fan of thisâ kind.
Helps me see where the game is string and weak as well as showing me more perspectives.
(Even if nothing will change if I simply gave up on hoping AO would be better, would I still play it?)
hunger as a system feels completely disconnected from the entire rest of the game, like it was just added on top of the current game mechanics. itâs not really the worst thing in the world, but itâs a bit odd to see a survival game mechanic here and it doesnât really add anything to the game
AO has a couple of mechanics that feel forced, isolated, or disconnected really.
Hunger is one.
Pirate ships being destroyable only by ship to get full rewards is either forgettable or annoying.
Reputation is mostly a gameplay feature, disconnecting story and gameplay a little.
Terrain destruction is mostly for itself as a cosmetic choice (at least destroyable trees and rocks drop items???).
Like, they donât feel that meaningful other than âoh that happens.â
Itâs not bad, just feels odd at times.
ngl terrain destruction is cool but seems like a lotta work.
its cool, until Elius throws you into a pit and starts rushdowning you.
That Calvus hides in one and you notice a severe lack of his usual spells.
Calvus is just a hard boss, terrain has nothing to do with the fight
That isnât the main issue I have, but why in the everloving fuck are the tiles indestructible yet perfectly distanced to maximize the odds of player falling in and minimize the odds of them getting out?
the floor is a paid actor of the order, this is why its always inconvenient to you, and annoyingly helpful to enemies.
did you ever try to high jump?
you dont get it, must be a paid actor of the Order.
Anyways, terrain destruction is annoying and sometimes jumps just dont work the first time. Ive noticed this most against Elius because some tiles there cant be destroyed which makes getting out annoying
That⌠and in Sameria, theres WATER UNDER THE TERRAIN, AND AS A HEAT MAGE I VERY MUCH DISPROVE OF THAT.
high jumps
hits tile
drops to the floor, ragdolls, suffers heavy concussions
