Permanent and Temporary Size Alterations in Arcane Odyssey

Been seeing that the devs may actually be working on implementing the first real bit of player size alteration into the game and I was wondering what sort of stuff everyone would love to see themselves. I’m making this topic because I saw these in the trello.


I personally love this and would enjoy a lost technique of some kind that temporarily makes the player grow in size, or potions made from different reagents that can temporarily alter size further beyond the caps of Mikrousia and Meglousia down the line. Also am I the only one that feels like getting a little bit of agility at the cost of attack size and health isn’t worth it? Feels like it should also give more i-frames on dodges or something. I also worry that melee hitboxes may not scale up properly very well but I suppose we’ll see.

More potion effects are always fun, and I think having temporary potions that push the size changes even further would be really neat.

as the only stat I care about is watching my health number go up, I am all for more health increases.

Well if they really did that then the hitboxes would be inaccurate and a little scuffed so I don’t know how they’d even do that. Inevitably all the min-maxers would be short to try and reduce their hotboxes.

smh, you can’t call yourself a defense main witih only 2.6k hp

for reference, this is with and without resist focus active:

I just need to get 3 more armoured scrolls and Frozen Titanium Pauldrons and I’ll have the most health I can have. I sacrificed 38 points of vitality (152 hp) to get Iron Leg Focus. The lost vitality won’t matter too much when it gets changed next update to not give health anymore

Preparing a lot of luck potions right now to guarantee a drop ever since I saw Satyr was being worked on. Though was kind of disappointed that it wasn’t Xenoshift that’s modelling the race since he did make a good one in his twitter.

Ah luck potions. Can’t live with em (because the golden fish and legendary fish rates are atrocious), and can’t live without em (because rare item drop rates are also terrible).

honestly all I want is for luck potions to not be tied to fishing anymore.

I don’t know, it kind of makes sense for the RNG buffing item to be tied to RNG. Besides, it’s easy enough to pawn them off of unsuspecting players with galleons.

I do think that alchemists should sell potions, though. It just makes sense.
