Plasma is still shit, it’s the same fucking effective damage as light. Increasing the speed by a notch just turns it into a bad magic from a magic that shouldn’t exist
its better than fire though, fire only has bigger size (0.05), better synergies (but only barely) and higher base damage (only 0.05), plasma is better with everything else
Fire has an effective dot three times stronger than plasma’s and the size buff, apart from being inaccurate to what you said, is still a great advantage to a magic
the dot will barely matter in AO as people can just jump into the ocean to turn it off (and sweating) and the size buff is literally unnoticable as its only 0.05 bigger
Sweating won’t turn off dot though and even then plasma would be significantly worse than fire if both their dots didn’t work
Also fire’s size is 1.15 in comparison to plasma’s 1.0, and even if it was only a 0.05 size difference then it would still be big for the same reason wind went up a peg on the tier list when it’s size got buffed
Forgot to factor in Plasma’s +5% self-synergy in AO. If you manage to ignite someone with Plasma then hit them 4 more times within that 5 second period then Plasma deals 7% more than what Light would have done in the same circumstances. This would be the around the damage difference you would see between Earth and Explosion magic.
Plasma’s damage in AO is close to the same place as Fire’s damage now, which isn’t impressive but is definitely better than having the effective damage of Light.
Fire’s DoT and Plasma’s DoT each deal 35% more damage (rounded down) over a period of 5 seconds. The biggest difference in damage you’ll see at level 90 is 15% assuming you have only 13 power. This is also going off the assumption that the numbers actually are rounded down. Decimal damage is possible in WoM so it’s possible that the damage is perfectly proportional.
Wind went up because people started to realize it was good. This community makes pretty bad predictions as to what the meta will be. Same thing happened with Paper, people thought it was trash then realized it was great.
The size measurements were based off the original size suggestion and I was editing my stat sheet as it was going, ended up with 1.05 and since we don’t have the suggestion at hand I would say that it’s a fair assumption to say that it’s 1.05.
Either way it’s a 5% difference, idk why that’s such a big deal.
The thing is, it isn’t, fire dot per second is 50 (10*5) for every amount of power for whatever reason, that’s why people usually use a 1022 health build on fire, because it doesn’t affect the dot, which fire has a strong focus to as a magic
Insane bleed synergy, 0.8x damage instead of 0.775x, damage affinity didn’t affect power and damage was just added directly on top of your existing damage, +50% DoT rather than +35%, all magics were the same size.
In rough chronological order from first removed to last removed (so at the beginning it had all these factors and at the very end only one of them applied, and now none do). Some things might be out of order but that’s a general chronological summary.
