Imo, ash needs a slight impact damage nerf, and a buff to the cloud damage. As of now, the ash clouds do the SAME damage as the poison clouds, but poison has the added bonus of the poison proc, so poison does even MORE damage if you stand in the cloud than ash does. Buff ash’s cloud damage, or at least it’s base size (not the max size holy shit that’s way too big) so you can get more damage out of the clouds. They feel useless unless the opponent is on the spectrum and doesn’t realize that 19 damage per second isn’t something they want to be standing in.
Bless your soul
We had this same conversation like a month ago in a thread i made comparing ash to poison lol. it’s still the same deal, even with the nerf on poison’s impact damage with the changes to the calculation for magic power.
You have actual reason . . . thank you . . .
We need a thread where you purely complain about ash.
you can still complain about it here
ash and poison have a bunch of the same issues
I meant a thread why macobre complains about ash cause I see her do it off and on in different threads but she apparently did that already sooo…
:3
ty
lol I see no reason for thanks though
People still be callin’ me a “he,” lol
Internet Rule 30 (idk if that’s the right one)
Fuck-
*dematerializes*
Gender shmender,
Gender is temporary, the ash main bond is eternal.
We shall overtake all
From what I see in this thread I feel like everyone is severely underestimating the power of clouds.
Much of you are saying that you will not take “more than 50 damage” from clouds and I’m here to say that if you are actually using clouds strategically, you can deal way more damage than you can with any other damaging hazard.
Ash can take advantage of clouds more than Poison can, 13% more to be specific. Ash also has more impact damage, and with increased size it can take advantage of that increased impact damage even more than Poison can. Poison is the more offensive one of the two which can fare better in longer battles, with no ability to clear any status effects along with the long-lasting DoT and long-lasting damage interactions. Ash is the more defensive of the two, which counters liquid/cold magics’ status effects and can petrify targets with heat-based magics, along with being able to take more advantage of landing multiple hits in a short timeframe compared to Poison. Ash is way better for pressure compared to Poison, and I don’t think either of them are in need of any changes as of now.
Regardless of their differences, building magic size for either of them allows for a full area denial playstyle with placed explosions, and the low impact damage does not matter since you still deal the same damage with clouds. Building a little knockback and using high duration explosions also literally impends the targets movement if you land a good hit, making them take a lot of cloud damage on top of the impact damage. Clouds will only guarantee more effectiveness with this strategy at high levels.
I think you guys should PvP more actually using clouds to their fullest instead of trying to use the one-size-fits-all build that other magics use (Power + Defense, Duration 1 Explosions, etc.). Try adjusting your spell settings and gear build to see what would fit your playstyle with them best.
maybe earth
bro earth is the one magic that absolutely NEEDS a rework/buff
every other magic does its job but better, at best its just wood but worse and at worse its just a shit heavy magic
So correct me if I understand you wrong Meta, but you trying to say
F the meta
And I agree
I will continue to sulk about Ash for all of eternity, but ye I agree
