I hope that we won’t have a stepstone/strawberry egg situation in which we will have to wait for an egg to randomly spawn in one of its preset locations.

I felt like everyone dunk on Stock for the wrong reasons. And I will be with Stock.
Sure the event is good and is executed well in a sense you made a good event themed themepark. but Stock is right about it being predatory, in a way that incentivize long grinding without much anything interesting than fetch quest and sailing A to B, ya’ll deserve better event with actual challenge than that man…
Like I know it’s optional cosmetics but it can be done better that respects player times than just a nothingburger. It is soon I realize how stupid this crap is I decide to stop when doing it on my second slot with how the RNG is made to capitalize Roblox flawed system of game discovery
Edit: I know the event are not directly made by Vetex himself but he could at see what his dev doing ain’t exactly an idea that respects it’s player

People cant even play AO anymore, makes Vetex money and thats corporate greed bro 
but like… thats the point of events??? it gets people on to see some of the things for the game and have a nice time alongside the holidays.
For AO standards, Yuletide was really good; sure you had to sail a bit, but you likely would’ve been sailing to play AO anyways. Yuletide still had a nice story and some extra content (even if 50% of it was Natasha farming)

I did the event in like 30 minutes

These events aren’t made with the intent of wasting peoples times. They are not made with the intent to “capitalize Roblox flawed system of game discovery”. This event was made with the purpose of;
- Allowing players to participate in some side-content of all kinds to get unique accessories.
- Helping people engage in side activities that people don’t do as often.
- Providing a relatively small challenge in solving a few riddles.
- Providing content while Full Release is being worked on.
Egg hunts are kinda supposed to be sailing A to B. You’re finding eggs all around the map. How else would we do it? Make a tiny little egg hunt with 20 eggs all on Ravenna? Don’t be ridiculous.
If anything, the fact you’re getting any events while Full Release is being worked on is amazing. We got new devs to help work on events while Vetex works on actual content. If you don’t like the event. Don’t play it. Hell, if you want to be “respected” so much, maybe don’t play AO at all?
This game has a lot of sailing. When you’re sailing from Dawn Island to Redwake, that’s wasting your time by your view. When you’re sailing from Cirrus to Sailor’s Lodge, you’re time is being wasted! You see your point here? If you don’t want to sail from A to B, don’t play the sailing game! :)

Point admitted then. I do still love AO though, at least Egghunt is still okay, as the sailing does require a bit of thinking (clues) compared to that schlog Yuletide is.
I’m more complaining about the Yuletide than easter, as Stock mentioned Yuletide as an example so I think I can give my opinion on it

Look into my eyes and tell me one time you sailed across the map to the farthest bit of mount Othrys after getting the awakening
We didn’t have this situation! Instead, we had to wait for the “preset locations” to spawn in the first place 
- Good reason, however, this event was tailored specifically to the lifeless crowd. No casual player is going to be able to answer these riddles, let alone obtain certain eggs.
- People don’t do these side activities as often for a reason. Change the activities instead of turning them into skinner boxes/chores to go through to obtain something.
- Riddles which were the only enjoyable part of this event as it wasn’t a tedious and brainless grind but an actual exercise.
- There is no need for additional content when the content is:
A. Temporary and unavailable after a certain period of time passes, this is work that only serves to dope a game’s engagement and is lost after it ends.
B. Filler
While true that egg hunts are supposed to be about heading to point A, B, C, D, E, F, et cetera, if the action of heading towards said point itself is uninteresting, then the given task will obviously be uninteresting as well.
I’d much rather have map-loading than an empty corridor that I have to go through for a solid five minutes with the most monotone travelling method in order to reach the next map, but that’s just me isn’t it?

We spawn right at Mount Othrys. Anytime you need something important you’re probably sailing up to either Ravenna, or all the way up to the Stepstones. Let alone the aimless sailing that adds up going point A-B.
Should the tree’s needed for Yuletide just have been anywhere on the mountain? yeah. did somebody making the event look and go “meh, they’ll just reset to get here anyways, might-as-well make them walk a bit”? probably.
Most peoples arguement is that they dont like Sailing. I’m pretty sure theres no way around us having to sail and keeping it enjoyable, it just changes the issue of walking somewhere to sailing, you hate not doing what you want to do because of travel, adding anything to the travel wont be as interesting unless you’re easily distracted.
Will we be having things to do while sailing? yea. but we aren’t gonna be entertained unless its what we want to do.
The real issue everybody’s having is dont play an Open-World game without instant-travel tools, if you hate traveling between 2 locations.
